Any good reviews of the many restaurants there?
Myself, I went to Hometown Kopitiam, an "Uncle Lim lookalike". Tried the fried mee, kopi-o, telur and roti bakar. Overall good except the fried mee (cold and not very tasty). The Kopi-o is very aromatic, better than Uncle Lim imho. The telur is just nicely cooked, but roti bakar abit soggy (maybe because it was pre-prepared).
Nice environment, price-wise similar to Uncle Lim.

Marche is in town. Tho the food isn't as good as the one in Singapore its comparable except that the Malaysian Marche's Halal one's thus you can't find their famous sausages. Its a bit pricey tho..about RM 50++ per head but its buffet so still worthwhile.

Marche serves a mixture of European cuisine. Its really nice tho its kind of expensive. Yes, the COW's kinda cute....that's their mascot I think. I've taken before with the COW in Singapore.

Got karaoke there ah? What's the name of the karaoke? Is there only 1 entrance into the curve parking area? Any other parking area?

Marche is a conceptualised like a market.... the food there is not a buffet where you pay once price and eat all you can. You order the food you want anywhere in the restaurant and pay when you go out which will reflect the food you eat in the restaurant.
Went there myself... yeah.... the food not as nice as the one in Singapore and a bit more pricey. Looks like the currency just converted from Singapore or something.
It also looks smaller than the one in Singapore rite?? I forgot how it looks like already... been 5 years since i went there...

went for lunch at hometown kopitiam@curve. My taste buds tell me:
1. the laksa is over, no, WAY over rated. Its a mix of asam(fish based) with curry laksa. too watery and in my book: once is enuff.
2. the iced kopi-o? forget it. MY own 2-in-1 kopi-o with ice cubes at home taste 10x better.
verdict: nice ambience, lousy food.

Looks like the standards of quality has lost to the cosmetic factor.......* sad *
