Been there, tried most of the food stalls and none that I like... maybe expectation too high??
if you like decent food that's not too expensive, should go to Chef and Brew in Alamanda. Nice food, good service and environment...

The furthest I've driven to is Sri Kembangan. Puchong/Serdang is a bit too far... worth it or not? Erm... I think we can make to with Putrajaya Alamanda... heehe

I suggest you go makan-makan at dengkil. Its about 15 mins drive. Also got chap fan and the shop near the Dengkil polis station serve the best chinese food there. Lots of NON-HALAL food if you are chinese.
I was working there when cyberjaya just started. Susah man, hardly any food around other than at the telekom, bus stop or cyberview lodge.

On your left before the government blocks. There are signs from after toll to putrajaya govt buildings.
I thought your cat whiskers can find food? :D

I thought the food at the Alamanda Food Court wasnt bad. Find the prices reasonable too. Was told the gado2 at the first stall on your right as you enter is good. However, it wasnt available the last time I was there.
I had the nasi briyani...not bad!
Maybe next time I'll try the asam laksa and gado2.

Alamanda food court.. not exactly the best one around here (Cyber and Putra), but that's the only food court with lots of choices. But the foods are pretty expensive. And yeah, MMU hostel's stalls are not bad either. And no, even tho it's for students, but i can see many, many working adults come there for lunch, especially those from DHL and Ericsson. And some of us even sometimes dine in at Ericsson's food court.. :p tee hee...(you'll easily get bored with the food at the hostel).
Try to avoid Hassan's Cafe in Street Mall. Expensive and lousy service.
The other restaurants in Street Mall are O-K.
But if you're here in Cyber at night, try driving down to Dengkil, there's this place called Malee. Serves malay local dishes. Pretty good and with a reasonable price too.

ahhhhhhh... Malee was one of the place I ate when I work in cyberjaya. The tomyam, ais kacang was heaven as that time not much food around cyberjaya to choose from. However, there are better malay food than this one.
The Penang restaurant in the mall also one of my favourite but the q is long.
There are also BKT in dengkil and the wantan mee stalls are pretty ok.
However, there seems to be flies everywhere in Dengkil and lots of them, so its either eat fast or the flies help to eat it for you. :D
There is a food court in Putrajaya housing estate, next to the Library (I think) and the Putrajaya smart school. On the road level, there is a sup daging which is very tasty which now i can remember and drooling........

Alamanda sucks...
I just went there yesterday. The Carrefour was so small...in fact, the smallest that i have ever seen..but they are making a good profit though.. :) . Food Court in Alamanda was an ok ok for me...i found the prices to be reasonable.....but anyway, Mid Valley is better than this shopping mall...

and you're comparing alamanda with Mid valley. alamanda is not even 10% up to midvalley.it's just that this is the nearest shopping mall that we have here, besides IOI mall in puchong, which would cost us an extra rm2 for the tolls. at least there's a decent place to hang out for us, students.
try living in cyber and you'll know how lucky you are when they first open up alamanda....

fazee,
I believe you must be studying in Cyberjaya altho your profile indicates USJ3.
IOI costs you RM2 for toll but you prefer Alamanda?? From USJ, to go to Alamanda, it is like 25Km one way and you pay RM2 toll one way. So include the return trip, there is RM4 in toll.
If you live in USJ, the nearest shopping malls are Subang Parade and The Summit. No toll needed and within 6Km.

yeah, i'm studying in mmu, cyberjaya and i only go back (USJ) on weekends.
erk..actually, i was referring to the times when i'm in cyber. obviously, alamanda is better than IOI..although it is not exactly the right place to do the full retail therapy :p
