I guess in Malaysia, we have no choice but only two, MAS & AA, you pick.

check airasia.com . they can look at mas if they are traveling as a family, there is some discounts for families or cheap tickets for very late/early morning flights.

I oredy check but not much info though to Miri..........I saw one KLIA to Kuching...RM79.99.....but would prefer direct flight......too much transit makes a person lost sense of direction!! ;)

The period of travelling is considered peak period, that's why can't really get cheap tickets. You can try for Supersavers on MAS, might not be as cheap as AA but its cheaper than normal.

If you can't get lower fare from AA, perhaps you should try calling one of their agents sometimes they block the thingy. Good luck!

AAsia fares are based on a bell curve..thus you will not get the lowest fare all the time..you need to search for dates that give you the lowest fare. Otherwise you get various fares that they have..all their fares are quoted FROM $$.$$...but if you have a fix date than you don't have much choice and Dec is peak period. But the highest fare can still be cheaper than MAS etc unless MAS etc have promotion.

have a good trip. :)
