Your choice... My 2cents is better do so, sooner or later you will have to. If your loan is from HSBC, then you will have to advise them, I am not sure of other banks.

If you don't, you will be paying interest only (which is nominal though).

while the mode of group communication amongst the pre-ra committee needs a form of consensus, i would think that none of the individual owners of KMC need any approval process for communicating to each other, or to be bound by one forum or the other...

at the end of the day, we are just neighbours sharing similar interests and stakes in our beloved parcels of brick and concrete up in the air...

I was hoping that Kuan can expedite the whole process of creating more interest through the RA team. Which he has been making quite an effort on.

Hi neighbours,

I would like to make a commendation of a security guard whom I encountered today while in KMC premises.

I was doing the usual path of approaching neighbours & inquiring whether they are aware of RA or the forum. Fyi, I find many are not aware of both. Along the way, I noticed one security guard was looking at me suspiciously and approached me.

He asked me sternly what am I doing here. Maybe he thought I am a salesperson or something. For he saw me walking around, with a pen and some papers. Then jotting something after talking to the neighbours. ( if u r wondering what "something", emails lar.. :P)

So, I explained to him what I am doing and that I am also an owner too. He immediately became apologetic, but I thanked him. When he looked surprised, I explained to him that it shows he is doing his JOB. :D

We should take note of such security guards in our KMC. His name is Maran.( I hope I didn't spell his name wrongly) There should be more of his kind safeguarding our KMC security! :D

Supply and Installment of
- 1.0hp a/c point c/w LED switch = RM210
- 2.5hp a/c point c/w LED switch = RM350
Installation of a/c & piping works
- Supply labour to install 1.0hp wall split a/c = RM260
- Additional copper piping = RM45 (5ft x RM9)
- Conceal discharge water piping = RM40 (5ft x RM8)
- Supply labour to install 2.5hp wall split a/c = RM350.

More then RM1,000 and yet does not include the cost of the aircons! And I only want to install 2 aircons; 1 in the sitting room and the other in the master and have both compressors out on the balcony.

Is this reasonable at all or am I taken for a ride?

I also checked with an electrical shop who supplies the aircons. The guy mentioned that he will charge RM120 installing 1.0hp a/c and RM130 for 1.5hp a/c but he said the installation is just to install the aircon and connect the aircon to the compressor. He also mentioned that there might be difficulty in installing aircons in condos i.e. availability of a/c point, hacking through walls, etc. Therefore, the charges would be higher than that quote.

But could it be as high as the quote I received?

is freaking expensive. i can recommend you someone that can do the above for at least 40-50% cheaper. PM me if interested.

currently is the flooding bad enough to damage cars? or just a few inches that makes for troublesome wading to your car?

how bad was it in the beginning?

did the management react on the problem swiftly, as in doing their job with urgency?

definitely no damage to cars. it used to flood enough during very heavy downpour to wet your socks at some parts of the LG2 parking, but they have installed pumps to mitigate.
