Hi all,
Is there any free WIFI hotspots around USJ or SJ?
My new Notebook with WIFI is expecting to arrive next week end, I would like to test the WIFI out first before I subscribe. :)
Thanks! :D

Hi, yes, there is. Starbucks Summit has Timezone FOC. The rest of the hotspot must pay i.e. Maxis & TM.

I've heard that Petronas petrol station in USJ2 (opposite Summit) provides free Internet. Maybe WiFi included? Check it out. Sorry, I don't have a notebook to try myself.

KWChang, yes, Petronas in USJ 2 offers free Wifi but the connection is very teruk. Muz buy the prepaid card thingy from TMNET. Alternatively, SJMC also have free WiFi service. But the most reliable free ones so far is that in Starbucks.

 I know another one is at the Starbucks Subang Carefour. Also from TimeNet Timezone and it's FREE!

Wont your notebook create some spark and blow up the whole petrol station?
I.E. some metal part brush against each other?

fRaNkY,
There is a possibility, but if you don't stay very very near to the pump nuzzles, it is very safe. Infect it is more dangerous for those who carry handphone in his/her pocket while filling in the petrol tank. How many of us switch off our handphone when we fill in our petrol tank?
Safty first! don't carry your phone in the pocket, the best is switched it off when you are in petrol stations for long time. :D

but this starbucks not very reliable...7.30 OK, after that 9 sth lepas makan just cannot detect?! theres a seat outside starbucks inside the summit, but u have to sit at the end of the seat for best signal. (if u want to surf for free sans latte, that is)
