How to safeguard/backup your emails.

For MS Outlook - Tools - Services - Personal Folder - Properties - note the path. Use Windows Explorer to locate your pst files. Burn on a CD. Or copy and paste the file. It will create a "copy of your email pst file"
Remember to click Clean up - Compact once a while to reduce the file size.

For MS Outlook Express - Tools - Option - Maintenance - Store Folder. Note the path. Use Windows Explorer to locate your pst files. Burn on a CD. Or copy and paste the file. It will create a "copy of your email dbx file".

You will not be able to download yahoo mail (via POP) unless you pay or forward to another mailbox. :p

If you do not have a pc or internet access you will not be able to read your emails :D

I can retrieve/read my email 24hours from my notebook unless the battery runs out or power failure.

Anyway, I dont download "tok kok" mail, delete them after reading it. :D

When backing up my email from OE or MS Outlook, I will always use special software. It will not only backup your email, but your caontact, blacklist address, rules, etc...In short words..It will backup the whole system, settings, etc from your OE or MS outlook within less than 3mins..hehe

-I am just newbie here, correct me if i am wrong- :o

There is a soft, work with Outlook Express - reading DBX files (http://www.oemailrecovery.com/reading-dbx-files.html), able recover and extract your e-mails in damaged mailboxes of Outlook Express. Outlook Express failures, power outages or viruses can destroy the important data on your e-mails and you won't be able to open dbx files or read Outlook dbx files, read .dbx files (opening Outlook Express dbx files) and retrieving information in the popular mail program - Outlook Express.
