well, it would definitely be the one from tmnet. they're the first to come up with this wi-fi stuff. the one from timenet, not recommended. i've read so many bad reviews bout it. maybe because they're still new and still unstable. and maxis, none of my friends have tried it yet, but i guess it would be the same as timenet and definitely a lot more expensive. they always charge you more for this kinda stuff. for example, the dial up services. few cents more than the rest.

If you are talking about wi-fi, then its Maxis.

Maxis already launched and advertised their ROAMING wi-fi, tmnet is still having theirs in a tender situation.

Have anyone seen TMnet launch their Wireless Broadband? When was that?

The last time I heard TMnet were doing a trial on Wireless Broadband and a friend of mine is in it, somewhere USJ3 or 4. Recently I heard Lick Hung have Wireless Internet access. wow!

Be on a lookout on the info on the local IT magazines.

I have not seen any comparison around yet as there is only Maxis and TMnet.

Yup DOPS... it works fine... I have it also with the help of an ADSL router (D-Link) and connect it to my ADSL modem. It could even encrypt and programmable with passwords and logins.

To FlaminJ

Just be carefull coz DLink ADSL Router is a bit sensitive, majority you need to configure the VPI & VCI if not yr connection will be very poor and always auto-disconnect.....

Well, so far it has worked fine over here except the signal part. I have it in y office at the back part of my shop but thinking of moving it outside to the dining area where it could cater a much larger area so that my customers could surf for free.

Have not gotten the disconnect part yet... touch wood :)

About the signal..it is maybe because of the channel
Try to tune to different channel and see the progress
It also depends on yr area whether around that area got any
thing that can disturb yr signal e.g copper, steel or what so ever
Pls check it out also....You are planning to give you customer free surfing?
Wow, thats grrrreat...but also pls make sure that you enable encrypt data so that it will be more safe.

;)

Friend of mine who stays USJ is using Maxis WBB, He really regret to subscribe this 384 package. As he told, he is only getting average 10-20kB out of 38.4kB speed especially peak hours which is getting more worst.
Somemore his Wireless device is very expensive nearly RM500 and no replacement if lost or damage.
He wanna to terminate also cannot now, since it under contact for 12 months. :(
Waiting for 12 months and switch to Streamyx or Jaring (if jaring wireless dun act like MAxis)

well, or another way is that you can always be an a-hole and try to get your way with them and leg it without the 12 month contract la...

I think Maxis WiFi and Maxis Wireless are two different thing.

Maxis WiFi is called Utopia.

Maxis seems to have come down on their pricing. Anyone out there using it? How's the quality?
