Shoddy job of resurfacing roads

Putra Heights in Subang Jaya, claimed by its developer as another blue-chip township, is one big disappointment because of the bad condition of its roads, which is a constant threat to the safety of road users and residents in the area.

From USJ 23 to Putra Heights, the road condition is so bad it feels like we are driving through a safari.

The bad condition of Persiaran Harmoni, Persiaran Putra Bahagia and Persiaran Putra Indah is a big shame for a “blue-chip township.”

The road has been that poor state since last September. We wrote a complaint letter to Sime UEP in December, but till now there is no action taken.

Although the project manager has promised that the company will be undertaking a resurfacing job, nothing is done so far except for some shoddy patch-up work here and there which does not last more than two weeks.

On top of that, overloaded quarry lorries have been plying the road almost every 10 minutes during the day.

The Road Transport Department should summon these culprits for overloading and speeding.

We have brought this issue to Kota Raja MP S. Vigneswaran. His representative, Encik Ridzuan, has liased with the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ), but according to them the road is still under Sime UEP.

MPSJ should resurface the whole road and charge the developer under their performance bond/guarantee.

Do not wait for more accidents to happen due to the bad road condition and speeding lorries.

Fed-Up,
Subang Jaya.

Its been like this for ages....

Where on earth, does a BLUE CHIP township developer fills potholes with concrete over and over again? Here... here... in Putra Heights!

Whenever it rains, Puddle Heights replaces Putra Heights in name by default...:D

(On a serious note: residents ought to exercise extreme caution when it rains...with all the water-filled potholes and "streams" that run across these roads,... have seen too many skid related accidents here when it rains)

Question 1: If the main-roads are not handed over to the municipality, can the municipality issue CFs and collect Assessments (Quit Rent) for the houses in the area concerned?

Question 2: If MPSJ have not been given control and responsibility to the road, then why are they fixing/changing the street lights that don't work? Or is just an excuse not to repave the roads till the quarry works completes and ALL of Putra Heights have been developed??

 Just thinking about the road conditions maketh me boil....

Take care......

I guess the roads will remain that way till the whole township has been completed. I noticed that the developers usually don't bother to fix the roads as lorries and other heavy vehicles still frequently ply the roads for the on going construction.

That is the problem faced by residents who buy the earlier phases and move in while other phases are still being constructed.
