Come tomorrow, traffic will be able to use the NKVE again without any hassle. This is according to PLUS if the Malaysian Highway Authority can verify that the road is safe. This will be the first time that traffic will have two alternative routes to head downtown - NKVE and NPE. With that, I hope that the Federal Highway will be smooth. So for those who have been using the NPE and said that the toll charges are reasonable and affordable, please stick to that. Don't come and congest the Federal Highway.

I hope that the authorities will put out lots of adverts in all medias to notify ppl of the re-opening just like they did when it was closed. :o

Now looking forward to the next re-opening - the kepong-tmn bkt maluri's flyovers!

Hi pcYeoh:) - Finally...this stretch is going to up n operational for the 'usual' traffic flows...until next time. Who know when n where the next time the semi value has the chance again to brand it 'act of....' BTW, how long did it take the men to complete the tasks of repairing the damages over at Bkt. Lanjan stretch?
At whose costs? So recently we hear about the proposed 10% increase for nationwide toll rates from PLUS, this got nothing to do with the repair costs at Bkt. Lanjan right? Somebody is either going to be sleeping better, or we are going to robbed again?:(

I just can't understand the time chosen to reopen the stretch. If that stretch is to be opened today, why not reopen it after midnight last night. Why must they choose to open it at 9.00 am this morning. The time was only stated in The Star paper only this morning. Luckily I saw the news before I left my house or else like a dumb fool I will be waiting till 9.00 am to proceed thru this stretch. Heard the traffic report over the radio saying that there was confusion as everybody thought it is already opened. Did they consult the bomoh or feng shui master to select the time? It will be better if they just use common sense.

I heard about it last nite over TV3 news. Samy no Value was saying that,"Saye akan berade di sane pade pukul 8.15 pagi. Saye mau tengok semue OKkah takdak. Lepas itu, itu PLUS akan buke itu road pukul 9 pagi."

So he is now called Samy no Value. Previously we know him as Semi Value. Luckily this time he did not say "Ini perkara, saya sendiri akan bangkitkan dalam Cabinet meeting......" Die lah got to wait some more.

This morning, the traffic flow along the Federal Highway was slightly better. The congestion started at the Jalan Subang Airport exit into Federal Highway rather than starting at the Subang Jaya exit. With more people more aware about the re opening, hopefully the traffic flow along Federal Highway will improve further. It is also quite difficult to gauge as the schools are having their holidays now.

Since I was feeling a little 'itchy' this morning, instead of heading towards the Elite highway as usual, I took the 'front' way towards Federal highway before heading towards Klang. Man, it was a breeze!! Federal highway heading towards KL was also less stressed. And I was next to PC at one stage. But he was like very, very deep in thoughts with his fingers fast at work. I honked a couple of times but he never even bother to turn left or right, man. Wah liau!!!

NKVE Toll Increase.....

During the Bukit Lanjan Stretch Opening ceremony.

Semi Value: “My report to the Cabinet will state that the concession agreement provides for the increase and it is supposed to begin from Jan 1, 2005. “Under the agreement, the new rate will be 13.6 sen per kilometre, up from the present 12.36 sen per kilometre.

"What is significant is that the public will still be paying less despite the increase" !!! what is this? tau kira kah tak tau kira...toll increase, but we pay less??

Looks like we will be paying for the Bukit Lanjan repair works after all.... :(
