seriously. we have been on this road before and it was also a topic of conversation at our recent teh tarik session.
perhaps, the time is right for all to interact with one another in their own names rather than hid behind a nick.
a lot of post abuse could also be prevented.

I look at it differently. If you are talking about abuses - most of the abuses and sex jokes demeaning women come from people who are not hiding behind any nick. And speaking personally, I do not think I can prevent myself from throwing up trying to sit down and interact with people who equate fond memories with ladies undergarments.

hi topguru,
where have you submarined? thank god you surfaced again after such a long while.

The subject of nicks is not the source of discussion when circumstances arises. The contents of postings would be the real concrete stuff that matters most!! Even if a person has a real name and talk nonsense, what is the difference then.

We are all adults and as a matter of fact,

Nicks or no-nicks shouldn't be an issue. We have lived with the usernames and we know the character of the common nicks...... and there were no problem at all. Well, there are instances when some "itchy" fingers come poking, but they do no harm. We went thru it before, and in future, when some irresponsible ones comes along, there will be many of us who will chase them off. Am I right?

BTW, achee don't want to restart and become "kawanbaru" again!!!
