Hi All,
With the incessant rain over the past few weeks, the roads are now in bad shape...to wit:-
1. The traffic lights junction in front of the hypermedia library. The pothole is deep and big. I had a shock the other night when a lorry swerved to my lane just when the traffic lights turned green.
2. The left turn from Persiaran Kewajipan to Persiaran Tujuan (the Vison School traffic lights junction). The road is sinking - yet again! Some permanent remedial steps ought to be taken.
3. Access road connecting USJ 17 to USJ18. When it rains, the pothole is filled with rainwater and hence hidden from view. An unwary motorist would get a very rude surprise!
Wish someone could get some pictures and show it to MPSJ....
Rgds,

once in a while in the bangsar/sri hartamas/ mont kiara area pot holes pop out, but they're fixed rapidly by dbkl. dbkl has those pothole machines that i saw.... the truck comes around, there's this pipe right at the back that pumps some tar onto the hole, levels it, and off it goes.
i'm quite impressed as it was featured on tech tv only a few weeks back.
don't know bout the subang area, but from what i can remember, if there was a pot hole in a residential area especially, it'll stay there for an age.

One thing I cannot tolerate is pothole and I can't sleep in peace till I do something about it. That is why I have the MPSJ (03-56376545) and MPPJ (03-79563544) 24 hour Hotline programmed in my handphone. Anybody care to share with me the DBKL number?
I was passing by that big pothole which Fonzie mentioned about and without hesitation, I called the Hotline. To my surprise, they have no record of anyone informing them about this hole for 5 days. The hole was big enough. If a motocyclist were to ride into it, he/she will be flung off the bike. Within the next 24 hours after reporting it, the hole was patched up. When reporting, insist them to assign you a reference number and take the trouble to follow up with them. Bug them if you have a deep concern about the problem to get it resolve. In my case, they called me to inform me that the problem has been resolved. I hope that everybody does that. Don't think somebody will do it and in the end nobody does that.

Do you know that in US, the ppl who patch up potholes do it so professionally that the patch is actually smooth and flat?...
What stupid contractors are ours? Don't even know how to mend a hole properly...
