Well, if 2 luxury cars can be stolen at 4am from some G&G residential area, don't be surprised the unthinkable can happen.

They are officially not allowed to work. But most of them are daily/weekly and some even monthly paid workers with no benefits. So no epf, medical etc. You work you get paid, you don't work - no pay. Furthermore, they are doing work that locals shun, mostly restaurant or general work. It takes many many years before they get approval from a 3rd country, in the meantime how does Putrajaya expect them to survive? They have to work otherwise how are they going to put food on the table.

I read differing statement from different officers. In the past, one officer said they can work.

I finally get it why so many foreign migrants want to come to Malaysia and work. They can practically get minimum wages set by the government for doing nothing....

For example, I went to Daiso IOI Mall Puchong, there is a foreign worker either Nepal or Myanmar standing at the entrance practically doing nothing at all. Not helping customer with the trolley basket, not looking at the people entering the shop. Just standing there doing nothing at all and get paid RM900 or more a month.

Second example, three foreigner worker in MyNews Main Place. None of them know what ice cubes are at all. Just look lost and blur when customer ask if they sell ice cubes. So in Malaysian you can get paid RM900 or more per month and you don't need to learn to speak any of the languages that the actually Malaysian speak!!

No wonder Rohinyas are arriving by the boat loads to find "work" in Malaysia.

Really sad man!!! And who suffers? The poor consumers at the end of the day.

Those who landed in Indonesia even said they prefer to land in Malaysia.

This thread is about UN Refugees and NOT about foreign migrants. There is a big difference between the two. Refugees are prosecuted people and are not safe in their own countries. Economic migrants are those that seek work in other countries.
Furthermore, if an employer employs someone who doesn't do anything or doesn't understand the language, it is not the worker's fault. It is the employers fault for hiring someone incompetent in the first place. If you want to blame someone, blame the right people.

These cars can be replaced.... imagine if they bring diseases like MERS and SARS and BIRD FLU and..... when they serve you food or clean your house
or clean inside of your car or iron your clothings at the laundry or packing your food at the supermarket check-out counters or....

I think some of these Nepal or Myanmar workers are there as guards & they are supposed to guard the shopping mall/shops & nothing else.

In the 70s, most of the refugees from Southern Philippines in Sabah are UN sponsored.

They were allowed to work, multiple & look at the numbers now & they are bumiputra too.

Those of us who are old enough will remember the Sikh guards employed by banks here. We no longer see them in this kind of job anymore. Their offsprings must have gone on to better things. This is progress, I guess. :)
