It's best not to rely on our police during CNY.

Robbery and breaking in tendencies is high in this era. Armed with crowbar and wire cutter makes short work of your basic security. Gated back alley oso no assurance.

This morning I was relating to my son one of my childhood stories.

As a kid I use to spend my weekends and school holidays with my married sister who was staying in a squatter colony. At the back of the house is the Klang river and in front is a mining pool.

In a small piece of no-man's land by the bank of the mining pool we fenced it up with chicken netting to rear ducks. The ducks we eat or sell. The eggs we collect to make salted eggs by soaking in brine.

There was no security but no steals our ducks or eggs. Try doing the same today. :D

For those staying in the open without any manned security, never presume its safe from breaking in. Never. Not in these times.

SJ Alert is sorry that the Online registration is facing some technical problems and could not be resolved in time. Nevertheless, the Police will be doing their patrolling and if you care to register with them, they will patrol your area. You can still drop at the nearest Balai Polis to register your absence.

Inspector Jasni, the OCS for USJ 8 Balai most welcome you to drop in. There is a standard form to fill up and he said his men are committed to make it a crime free area while you are enjoying yourself with the Goats in your kampung. Last Sunday, the goats ........... I mean the Police were here at the USJ 12 Padang to have a dialogue with us and also disseminated the Balik Kampung Rumah Selamat forms to those who will be going home.
