COL is consistently on the rise, Linggit is shrinking more.. be afraid, very afraid..

Rising COL is imminent in this blessland. People find it more and more difficult to put enough food on the table nowadays due to rising COL and shrinking RM. Some have to leave their family to work in remote jungle just for the extra bucks. Some people have to be away from home almost two third of a year, lonely and empty for the sake of putting enough food on the table at home.

Yes, life is tough and unkind to some people..

Got, nowadays it is so easy to be an expert in everything lah..

Once you know what is joule or some said is watt plus a propeller thingy, you can start to think how to build a dam lah .... :heheheh:

I am thinking how to harness the energy by separating the hydrogen atom and oxygen atom from cooking oil. The energy released during the molecular separation phase is a potential source of energy to power the air-conditoners in my toilets... :laugh:

I agree life is hard now for many... some are a lot luckier... all they have to do is follow the wife who gets posted to Japan or Singapore and all they do is stay in hotels and look after the kids and even wash and cook for the wife. They spend so much time in hotels that they even fell in love with names of the hotels they stay in - but then they have time to be online and bash others and create all their nicks based on the hotels (sound more like jail to them....) they stay in looking after the kids while their wife earn a living....

Talking about tough life, I would like to share a kisah benar.. (sorry if the story digress a bit from the electricity thread)

The brother of a friend of mine from Seremban is a living example of “by-product ‘ due to rising COL and poor financial planning ..

Actually, life should be good for him. He worked in a MNC before and was posted to overseas as an expat with good perks. May be due to his agitated temperament, he had problems with his boss and colleague and he couldn't make it there. He then joined a smaller local company. He screwed up his career again thinking that he has better knowledge than his chinaman boss and eventually he had to leave also. After screwing up both jobs, he started a business in CD sales and rental in Selangor. Business initially was good but again due to his bad temper and over-spending habit, the business kaput !!

At this stage, he was already over his prime to look for a rewarding career and he was cash-tight to start another business. Relationship with wife was getting tense and because they have no children, they couldn’t find something that could bond them together to look for a better future. He decided to go somewhere far away in a jungle to earn a living. I think he spent more than two third of a year away from home, lonely in an empty room..

This is sad and I really feel sorry for him. Mind you, he is close to 60 years old now, he has diabetics and he is a heavy smoker and heavy drinker. I wonder what will happen to the last few years of him .. :(

Well, hope this guy makes it or else he's screwed, eh? But it's still better than someone whose wife is doing well in O&G and travels around the world and the poor guy has to follow along and stays in hotel rooms and look after the kids and cook and watches TV all the time to learn English because he's Chinese-educated. He loves the hotels so much he names all his internet nicks after the names of hotels...

Oh and his wife even got him a job as a Lab technician to let him keep his sanity and esteem and dignity as a man instead of just a hen-pecked husband... and he gets to go back to Malacca too every now and then...

Aiyoh!..not a nice remark. Its like some low blow, don't matter to who. Everyone isn't perfect lah, some people can be perceived as weird or have their own shortcomings in the face of others.
But I may agree on rebuttal pertaining to loose cannon balls and lambasting without substantiation. I too won't deny I tend to do that out of general anger that get the better of me. Who isn't angry at what goes on for too long in this land?..many issues just far too long to be tolerated.

As far as I know, you started your first post in this forum to share your experience with a brand of mattress and pillow and your avatar is a woman with big mouth !!

….strongly recommend the {Admin note - brand name removed} brand of mattresses and pillows for they are scientifically designed and manufactured and they form a contour to your body shape as you sleep and will return back to its normal shapes when you are not lying on them. It is very "supporting" and gave us very good sleep for many years now - we have changed only once in the last 12 years....
