View Full Version : Ban action from glass tint discussion
Rhiga

...when I popped in about a year ago for a look-see, I asked the salesman and without any hesitation he said the company will change all the glass screens to untinted glass AT NO COST to the buyer.
So don't say that they are breaking the rules. But I wonder why they don't have all the glass changed before putting them out in the showrrom instead of allowing buyers to drive off with the dark tints?
There is no such things as NO COST..
Everything had been factored into the car OTR price whether you want the original tint or you want the tint remove and replace… but this is not the main reason why they don’t change the tint.
Some of the people in this country who are parasitic in nature i.e. they can have a good life because they know someone would want this dark tint to stay. Breaking the rules on tinted sheet is the last thing they worried. They can threaten to burn down an office and nothing will happen to them. They tore down a legally registered signboard, they stormed into the state assembly hall, they put up a bounty to slap a lady MP – all of these are not breaking the law. You think they give a damn to this itchy-bitchy tint rules.. ??
For those who think the gomen postponed the tint inspection because some of these fellas protested, you better think again. There is no need to protest, they have immunity and privilege to install the dark tint and they install them using taxpayer money via the tax exemption in AP.

These are serious allegations....Where are the references to protect this Forum from being an accessory to the publication of hearsay rumors, untruths, and character assasinations? If some of "these people" are so immune and privileged (as Rhiga implied), what is there to stop them from demanding MMC to shut down this website?
Furthermore, you have already made the implication that they have been granted carte blanche permission to violate JPJ rules on tinted vehicle windows ... I don't think anyone have that proof. References do not even exist in such a serious allegation or conjecture.

In case some of you think the Admin had been unfair in the recent ban on Rhiga,
we have our Rules (http://www.usj.com.my/forum-rules.php3) regarding etiquette on the forum
Just as an information, our Forum have a number of threads which warn members about their responsibilities in posting online ...
Be accountable and responsible on the Forum (http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showthread.php?23148-Be-accountable-and-responsible-on-the-Forum)...
Be careful of what you post (http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showthread.php?22061-Be-careful-of-what-you-post)
Be accountable for your comments
Rhiga had violated the above advisories and many times in the past violated the Rules. Some of his violations can be seen in our Rogues' Gallery (http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showthread.php?19230-Banana-Plantation-Gallery&p=581555#post581555) or otherwise better known as the Banana Plantation Gallery...do note that Rhiga was also Sagamihara in the past
There were a lot of violations that went unreprimanded since Admin cannot catch all the violations but nonetheless I have been constantly advised through public complaint of his previous unsavory comments made towards other forum members
I just got this from an email from Rhiga:-

You don’t give me a chance to defend and you banned me straight away..
Her are references and evidences :
They can threaten to burn down an office and nothing will happen to them
http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=287442:wow-is-this-the-islamic-way?-do-it-again-and-dap-hq-will-burn-umno&Itemid=2#axzz32ybANo8N
Fyi, none of perpetrators who threatened to torch DAP office have been charged in court.
They tore down a legally registered signage
http://says.com/my/news/photos-angry-umno-youth-tear-their-own-memorandum-and-threaten-to-torch-dap-hq
Fyi, the umno youth head who is also the youth minister had apologized but so far no arrest was made to those responsible.
They stormed into the state assembly hall
http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/05/21/Penang-State-assembly-storm/
They put up a bounty to slap a lady MP
http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/02/08/Leave-it-to-the-investigation-says-Zahid-Hamidi/
They have immunity and privilege to install the dark tint and they install them using taxpayer money via the tax exemption in AP.
1) Read post#23 from usj27 resident ..http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showthread.php?37282-Be-warned!-Awas!&p=581547#post581547
2) Why car importers are still using AP to bring in cars which do not comply with JPJ rules. The importation of vehicles which failed to comply with JPJ rules has been going on for years. If there is no double-standard, privilege and immunity , then tell me what is the real reason ??
All of the above have been widely reported in the print media and electronic media including some of the main stream media. It is shocking that you called them as allegations as used them to ban me.
You can ban me according to your rules but please do not fabricated excuses and then shut the door for me to explain.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Even a murderer gets his day in Court to defend himself. :)
Although being allowed to post here is a privilege and not a right, I think banning Rhiga because of this comment is a bit high handed. I would have just edited it and PM him a reminder.
Please feel free to disagree.

Yes, I think Chang should give Rhiga a chance to explain rather than “kill” him right away.
Frankly, at times his words are harsh but he provides different perspective of his arguments which is worth reading.

I have given Rhiga many chances to reform.
However, of late, i had also been getting a number of complaints from members of the forum regarding his curt manner
I have tried to defend him offline but as the complaints build up, it becomes something I could not avoid.
In case Rhiga thinks the complaints are from sentinel, I can assure him i am taking action based on the complaints from other members. I appreciate the fact that he has a loyal following but I must also be sensitive to the complaints from others.
His last post was sufficiently in violation of the Rules and various administrative threads put up to advise against unsubstantiated posts which may jeopardise the existence of this Forum, especially when prevailing political sensitivities may preclude extra scrutiny from various sources. I have already said in my reprimand that Rhiga will be taken out in order that he no longer post such statements in the Forum. I am doing this with previous knowledge of the time when JeffOoi was charged in court because he did not take action on a very sensitive post planted by a reader to his blog. Call me a chicken...but I will not sacrifice myself for comments made by others to the Forum. I have no assurance that one day Rhiga might trigger such an action.
As I had explained to some, my moderation may not be perfect but I am not here to win any popularity contests. I will not be getting any support from the silent members who will not speak out for my actions here. That is because i know they choose to be silent...and i am not asking for anyone to come out to support my actions. Everyone will read the comments from Rhiga's friends and sympathisers. I can only assure you my actions are not on a personal level ... I have not even met Rhiga or Sagamihara. I am only dealing with avatars and my ultimate aim is to protect the Forum and my own back.

Then you should ban him when you received so many complaints and when the complaints are substantiated. It is plain weak excuse to use them now. Don't forget the reason you to ban him as stated in your "Rogue Gallery" is "posting allegations" not "his past remarks/manner"

This is not true. All of the so-called "allegations" were reported by print media and electronic media. It has nothing to do with breaking the law.
I have already said in my reprimand that Rhiga will be taken out in order that he no longer post such statements in the Forum. You are the moderator, you make the final decision but it is good you decide based on facts not gut feel.

Rhiga did not quote any names in his comment. There was one occasion a forumer explicitly quoted a senior Selangor officier's name and accused him of taking bribe. I think Rhiga notified you and you removed the post. The forumer escaped scot-free . Care to elaborate why such a huge different in your decision.
Enough have been said on behalf of Rhiga. I believe this would be my last post.......
To Daunou,
Just came back from Bangsar to meet up with a friend.......I am in KL....my mobile NOT in Roaming.
Looks like I couldn't amend any more.
UR PM is no longer working

Welcome <del> back </del> to this premier Forum :D......its great to see a 'new' member taking an active role in the discussions that go on here ;)..........it even intrigues one how a new member can make reference to archived posts and comment on it. :)
It is such 'new members' that we must have more off!!......those that will join anew,....... and not only be active immediately but spend the time to read through all archived posts so that they may participate here not only in jest but in spirit as well ......I wonder 'how many more' are waiting in the shadows?? ;)
As for Chang's decision to fully protect this Forum and his integrity......I've said it before and I'll say it again......As the Moderator, its his right.....and we must abide. A few years back, he told all those who were unhappy with the R&R here to go find another Forum;)......he hasn't mentioned it now......well with about a dozen or so active contributors left, I suppose it wouldn't matter :heheheh:
BTW, Facebook is a great place to post seditious or slanderous chatter.....it reacts rather fast......post before 4pm and get a free nights B&B.....no charge for extra nights

I share Rhiga's view on these extremely dark tint. Rhiga was only telling the truth. My car's tint meet JPJ's requirement (max darkness allowable) and when I start to look at others, hey I wonder why the double standard. I really hope JPJ and polis can really clamp down on these extremely dark tint.
We also notice certain people's cars are with extremely dark tints. They know it and yet they did it because they know they can get away with it.

I sense the comment probably implied Daunou was probably Rhiga. It does not matter. Daunou did email me to say that he is a current member who has agreed to post Rhiga's comments on his behalf on condition that he remains anonymous using a new userid. Daunou actually posted twice but his posts were automatically locked by the Forum software and hence it was not visible - I do not know how the forum software "decides" which posts to block. So in the end Naka did the posting.
Since Rhiga's request was already posted, i PM-ed Daunou to advise him/her to go back to use his current userid and there is no need to hold an extra userid. Hence Daunou is now no longer active.
BTW, Daunou may sound like a strange userid but I believe it refers to Pierre Claude François Daunou who was a French statesman and historian of the French Revolution and Empire..... er, just in case, François is pronounced "fran swaa", am i right?
Google search indicated that Daunou wrote some books and one of them = The Power of the Popes: Or, an Historical Essay on Their Temporal Dominion, the Abuse of Their Spiritual Authority, and the Wars They Have Declared Against Sovereigns.... ha, obviously some implied message of my dominion and abuse of power

Don't say!...... Pierre Claude Francois Daunou :heheheh:................and your "implied message of my dominion" as referenced to a "Historical Essay on Their Temporal Dominion"......which btw, refers to the Popes losing their temporal power in 1870 after over a 1000 yrs of sovereignty......
Doubt it la :D.......all that's 'Temporal' here is a scheduled 'Lobectomy' following a raging epileptic fit :)
Don't read too much into it and let your imagination and the 'prevailing crisis' ;).......get the better of you ;-)
I'm betting on it being in remembrance to a favorite hangout "Alley" (http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rue_Daunou) or most likely a frequent abode 3* Hotel (http://www.daunou-opera.com/en/home.html) :D

Talking of the 'French'....will be sending a PM

I concur with your opinion.
A lot of vehicles can get away with it while others can't.
I wonder why the double standard:eek:
