I was in Singapore yesterday for a day trip, in first Jetstar flight and out last Jetstar flight... had lunch at Bedok North foodcourt.... a Bak Chor Mee and a glass of apple/carrot juice.... S$9... that's RM22.50... its expensive when you compare in ringgit but looking at the Singapore income level, its relatively cheap lunch for them... just look at the number of Audi A6 3.2TSI on the road the next time you are in Singapore and you tell me how far we are behind that little dot city.... By 2015 (that's another 14 months!) 1 in 6 Singaporean will be a millionaire in terms of cash in USD! That is excluding the damn SGD1 million property they are living in! Ours is a failed nation when you compare to the little red dot.... adoi so many Bentley on the road...
I was talking to my banker friend at his banking office along Shenton Way... he told me as far as their Wealth Management Team is concerned, their marketing efforts are focused on Singaporeans and Indonesian individuals, Malaysians are not in their focus / target group.... now, what does that tell you?

I am not in trouble of being smart as quoted by Bertland Russ but share my thread in question and seeks smart answers. Nor would I get up close and personal.
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.
But still then what was the smart answer to Barang Baik in 1st Jetstar and last Jetstar flight out, Bar Chor Mee or Bently coming to town? I am dumbfounded but motivated to know why and how even though it has been hijacked out of relevance in Barang Naik which are the concerns of many Rakyat in rising cost saga of daily needs.

DISAGREE!...many can be cocksure dependent on fact, evidence and experience.
Even the intelligent make stupid decisions one time or other.

Can you just continue to just talk to yourself and not bothered with what I or others write.... ? You don't own this webforum and neither do you even here long enough to try and control what others say here... If you do not like what I wrote, don't read, just skip and no need to feel bad about me jetting into and out of Singapore. No need to comment - just shaddup and go talk to yourself, as usual...

Read again page 3. I aint bother what you write as well as others. Most of all, I dun mind where it had deviate or hijack into other issues apart from trumpet self blowing of minds. I dun own the forum and I believe the spirit of sharing and courtesy. But I just kenot stand your jet set attitude of holier than thou, you tak tahu kah and getting up and close to a forum nick. After all, that's law breaking with that kind of attitude, aint it?
This forum is for the public to share informations and know what's going on though it is owned by Jeff OO1. Or izzit? I dun know . I am just a baby of the forum and clueless by the law and order of usj.com.my. I am dumbfounded each time I got some banana explaining myself for you from getting too close and cozy with me. And it seems not very intelligent of me for making a stand for fair play. :(
BTW. I am still clueless about my earlier jet set question which still went unanswered in Barang Naik page 3. After all, you did asked "now, what does that tell you?"

I don't understand why Zinglicious is so agitated by SiangMalam's post.
Maybe Zinglicious view SiangMalam's post as an attempt to boast about his "jet-setting" pursuits and eating at "expensive" joints? This was where Zinglicious was mistaken because as I see it SM was simply highlighting something he did where by comparison simple meal looks so expensive by comparison. And by the way, JetStar is not a big deal -it is a budget airline if you are not aware. Where can it be construed that SM was boasting? Next,he was simply saying a small meal which is easily affordable for Singaporeans look so expensive in ringgit value ... wasn't he just saying that our buying power is so low by comparison?
and for the comment -"now, what does that tell you?"...wasn't SM simply saying that Wealth Management services in Singapore would rather fund indonesians rather than Malaysians? My understanding is that the Malaysian situation is a risk due to our potentially poor economic potentials as compared to Indonesia hence the support we no longer get.
I do not understand why zinglicious get so sensitive with SM's comments?
Eh, Zing, SM was not boasting of his jet-setting - all I see is he declared he had to fly cheap (btw, Jetstar is my preference too, vs MAS, SIA or even AirAsia) and he wasn't eating in expensive joint...just hawker food equivalent. As for jetting about, we all know SM is still actively involved in business and he went for a day trip (savings on hotel bills). So where is the show-off part? I don't understand

I may not be so smart but I aint silly to be agitated like Siang atau Malam. I just dislike that someone getting too up close and personal like a stalker. I think you are mistaken by the fact about jet star or what not. I was asking what Barang Naik gotta to do with the flight , bak chor mee and apple juices. And I was asking what was the his question to Wealth Team Management in what he was trying to say ? It was a thread started by me and I thought it was my duty and my curiousity to ask or probe further.......
Not only I was not given the respectful answer but i was labelled as "Exactly, you still can't figure it out simply because you just ain't that smart - so continue to seek answers and don't be so cocksure or arrogant. And I Think its Bertrand Russell and not as you quoted, try again..."
Now what does that tell you?
As for the Singapura pura or Indo which are the preferred customers of Wealth Management Service, it was not what I heard or read. This is in addition that many VVIP from West Malaysia and Sarawak having shopping spree and secret banking accounts as alleged by Wikileaks and Global Witness recently. And worldwide , banks and retailers in properties, LV or Gucci bags to JC shoes, are welcoming mainlander Chinese with loud red carpet attention. From UK to US. Paris to Swiss, Aussie and far down under in Auckland , New Zealand. Thanks to these Chinese, properties are skyrocketed to dizzy heights. These fellas are even snapping the sheep farm!!!
In fact, a forumer was telling me just 2 days ago he was there to buy a condo in $Sing million to retire after couple of years to migrate there after successful biz the last 3 years. And personally I know some family and friends of Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands are heavily invested in that red dotted island. Vegetables sold there but monies were kept there in Singapore banks and properties were bought from cabbage or tomatoes sold. Pelik tapi benar - Malaysia Boleh!
Now that clear the air where I am confused if Malaysians are not the big X factor in funds right at the republic but they are not the biggest for the fact.
This is the official fact - "The stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Singapore amounted to $672.0 billion as at end 2011. The USA ($77.9 billion), Netherlands ($66.3 billion), UK ($55.9 billion) and Japan ($52.5 billion) were major sources of FDI. The Yankees won in 2011 where they sing "We R the Champion" feat Shakira "Hips Dun Lie". Wonder who wins in 2013? Indo? http://www.singstat.gov.sg/statistics/browse_by_theme/investment.html
I am not arguing till the cows come home but merely sharing what I read and heard. And I would like to stand corrected for any misinformation given to be wiser and smarter in this forum.:)
Not Agitated and not Gay either for any up close and personal contact. :p
Nevertheless I am thankful for not given a banana for my stand this time round. :)
