Ford Focus is the world's best selling car after Toyota Corolla. For the 1st half of this year, they sold 489,616 units but Corolla only sold 462,187 units. Will the Corolla catch up by Dec, 2012? test drove the new focus last mth. Impressive handling and at the price of rm120-135k, that's the best c Segment at the moment.

Is it that much? Wow, no wonder the Altis is selling better here. It should be smaller than the Altis, right?

Its a hatch hence limited appeal. IMO a sedan has a broader market.

I also thot it is priced at RM116k?

Focus is certainly bigger in terms of engine torque and hp hahaha. There's a sedan which is equivalent to an altis. But how to compare a Jap with this?
Malaysian mentality is Jap = low maintenance, higher resale value and forgo the ride/handling/specs of car lovers. Btw, i am also driving a Jap. :heheheh: but will upgrade to a German soon.

And btw, Altis is crazily priced at 121k for 1.8 and 131k for 2.0. Focus, 120k for a std 2.0 hatch or sedan, 135k for the higher specs h or s.

There is the romantic Italian. The sexy French. The reliable Swiss. And you choose the efficient and cold German? OK, which company? The high engineered Mercedes, the ultimate driving machine BMW, the people's car VW, the lively Opel, the nothing-to-prove Audi, or the there-is-no-substitute Porsche? Any of these companies is good as we should be more model-specific. Every company got a lemon and a gem in their stables of cars.
