Petronas MPO sackings spark worldwide audition boycott

Hmmmm .... IMHO, to start with, Why do we a Philharmonic Orchestra for .... when half the schools in East Malaysia are still without electricity and running water ... ? It is more for EGO than needs. Face the fact, Malaysia is still a DEVELOPING country, we still cannot afford FIRST-WORLD luxuries like this .... yet ....

That was a maha project. that time wanted to show the world he got the two tallest buildings in the world and that we are very cultural so die die also have to have somethng like that. Unlike inf foreign countries where there is a big pool of very good classical musicians we have to practically import everyone. And we have been doing that for 15 years. Just like f1 when they pushed an obviously underqualified alex yoong by buying a place for him.. They like to do that. Like what spore does. Cannot develop buy la foreign talents.

On the other hand I truly respect the Penang philharmonic orchestra, limited funds, dedicated volunteers, home grown talent...
