YB Jeff Ooi went to stand in Jelutong and even people like me could not reach him... he just doesn't pick up phone calls nor returned my call... in fact we were supposed to have teh tarek in Penang, where I live now, on May 3, 2008! He never confirmed and didn't show either.

If he thinks we are after him for projects or whatever, forget it lah YB. The money we gave you more than the profits we could make building longkang for Jelutong market lah....

So I hoep YB Hannah understands why some of us just don't have the enthusiasm this time around, blame it on YB Jeff Ooi... kacang lupaka kan kuliT!

No matter how you attack me and how you spin and lie, the fact remain that you are narrow minded who expect something in return for your "donation".

Look at what you wrote, "even people like me"? Who do you think you are? Just because you raise some fund and you think you should be treated differently, some VIP? That show you are expecting something in return.

I didn't make any assumptions at all, I just lay down the FACTS, the ungly truth that you may not like it.

This thread was started by SM to express his views when someone approach him to start a political donation campaign for Hannah. He explained why he is not interested this time --> his previous bitter experience soliciting political fund for Jeff had exhausted his enthusiasm to raise political fund.

It all started when burntan threw accusation to SM saying he had hidden agenda to get something from the previous political donation campaign. SM defended and responded to burtan accusations and the rest is history….

In my opinion, the moderator should not banned the person who defense himself.

Whatever profanities he use and how many times he used should not be taken into consideration as the reason to ban him..

Purely by the rules which is that the Forum does not allow for personal arguments to be done in the Forum. Fight all you want but do it via email, PM or even on the street. But not in the Forum.

I actually banned Burntan (and that is permanent) because he started the whole thing with his instigation and personal attacks. Then I listed the profanities of SM to put up my case for a banana but then it became a pretty long list .. hence enough for me to send him to the cooler (temporary ban). SM had gone beyond getting personal by his language in all the posts listed - needed to do that to explain why he is sent to cool off. And by the way, why Burntan did not get a laundry list of comments from me...it was simply because he was a clear-cut ban case.

And by the way, the ban is not permanent for SM. He will get the ban lifted after a few days.... as he was baited into the argument. I just thought he needed some time to cool off, that's all. I have nothing personal against SM.... if I had, he would have been taken off a long time ago. It does not matter to me if SM hates me for banning him.... he knows the rules through and through and he is senior enough in the Forum to know where it stands in the rule book. And yes, I know he disagrees with the way I posted the laundry-list. I have explained it above but if his disagrees, I cannot change his view.

I never get personal in moderating the forum. Everyone is just a nick and an element in the whole forum platform. When it comes to applying the rules, I do it by the book. You flers would have forgotten but I even banned Jeff once when he went off the edge. Outside the forum, I take everyone as my friend... it is up to the other party to form their own opinions about my moderation and if I seem unfair, I cannot change their views. I make mistakes too.
