some1 asked me which to buy. Preference is Fortuner but i advised against it. But then again, who am i to know anything about 4 wheel tin -can???

Can any 1pistonhead here advise which would be a better buy based on the following requiremens:
1. high rise petrol car
2. 5-7 seater
3. below rm200K

My only pov is that fortuner is such a hot car for thieves, that no matter what expensive security gadget u put in, u will be stressed out at each car outing, each parking situation including at own porch/home! Who needs additional and totally unnecc stress. Why red flag at all?

u left out the Honda CRV in the comparison. its not really any use as an off-road car, but comfort wise, its better than fortuner and x-trail. dunno about cx-5. one down side is the long waiting list.

Land Rover Freelander TD4 - its a turbo-diesel Euro 2 diesel engine. A bit pricey though but I keep using my wife's so it must really be fun car / SUV.
