View Full Version : Can they do this: car park created from public road

Yesterday I had a rude shock as the road after Sun Inns in Jalan PJS 11/2 (I think that is the road, as I don't have a proper map of the area) was closed to traffic by some enterprising people and a car park area was created from the access road in front of the Mamak and Malay restaurants. I used to park my car in that area and found that I had to pay RM3 to do that yesterday. Did these people get the blessings from MPSJ to cordon off the whole of PJS 11/2 for their car park?

I am not surprised. MPSJ has been doing a lot of things, I think Pakatan Rakyat is helpless in this aspect.

Take a look at one of the road shoulder near USJ 9 business centre, they turn it into parking lots, drivers can't see on coming cars because their view is block by cars parking there.

Another example, they allow the Nasi Lemak Rest. to operate besides a very busy road at the same business centre.

Next, license was given for a stall to sell kuih muih at a busy road besides business centre, one side of the road turn into parking lots, another side given to hawker stall, leaving no way for pedestrian to walk safely.

Ask for a sport facility A, they gave sport facility B, now the project has been left hanging for nearly 2 years.

This is the MPSJ we have now.

I got rumours that some of the MPs (Majlis Perbandaran) - town councils are actively "sabotaging" the Pakatan Rakyat Govt .... so it does not surprise me that the BN-hardcore inside are doing the same .... if I am not mistaken DBKL Mayor today was formerly MPSJ YDP, and we have seen how "supportive" he was of the rakyat during Bersih 3.0 .... :p

The list goes on and on - What about the shop at USJ2 that occupies almost half of the parking lots from 7pm onwards???

By the way if I remember correctly PJS11 is under MBPJ and not MPSJ. Go check it out, almost all parking lots around PJS11 are monopolized by workshops. From rocks to bricks to used water filters to 'reserved' the lots. NO ACTION TAKEN.

It is instances like this make people feel that this country is governed by many little Napoleans. They no longer behave like a civil servants working for the people though paid by the people.

Any different before and after 2008?
If not why you expect where you put your "X" during GE13 will change thing?
If the same had happen before and after 2008, why don't you consider other stuffs that have change before and after 2008 to help you decide where you put your "X"...
Do enlighten if there's anything that was better before 2008 and went worst or gone after 2008?

Cheers...

Well, things are better. What I meant was I/we need to give a stronger mandate to PR in GE13 so that they can exile all the little Napoleans to a far away island near the Spratleys. :heheheh:

Howzat for tutup satu mata and telinga from the authorities from Polisi and DBKL? Any wonder how this chairman of petty trader is driving a Ferrari by issuing licence at his own fancy?

The video is clear evidence of these troublemakers defacing public property. Why isn't the ops or DBKL going after them. Maybe they are deaf (cannot hear evil) or blind (cannot see evil).

Guys - remember that Penang fella that got so riled up with CM LGE (he even invited LGE to a fist fight!!).... he too, was selling bazaar lots to the Ramadan traders at Komtar for ages.... till PR took over and cancelled those permits. How he got those "bulk permits" is anyone guess. He was SOOOOO riled up when his "permits" revoked, that he started jumping up and down like a mad man.... even to an extent of sending LGE a coffin, among other things.!

Same thing happens all over the country - you would have these "connected" Datuks that has "bulk permits" who would then sell these permits to the highest bidders/traders and then sit back and enjoy their ill gotten gains DOING NOTHING... while the genuine traders sweat their butts off trying to recoup their upfront permits payments...

Do you know how much one can make selling "permits" for the Ramadan Bazaars in "approved" areas.... anything from RM2000 to RM5000 per lot... heck, they do it even at the UMNO General Assembly meetings, traders are SCALPED if they want to trade at the PWTC - lots are drawn up at the foyer and surrounding areas and traded to the highest bidders or well connected people and then "re-sold" for a quick/fast profit..... Genuine traders have NO HOPE in getting those permits at original prices....

NOW YOU KNOW HOW HE CAN AFFORD A FERRARI.....hope he jumps a red light and whacks an ALAM FLORA truck soon!

\BTW, we live in the era of smart phones which can upload or muat turun you tube and clueless people.

the nasi lemak stall is occupying more than 20 car park every nite.

Now they added a satay stall on the parking lot.

Yesterday, I noticed even Ali Maju is putting their tables on the road sides.

Soon we have USJ 9 Road side business centre.

I may not be right but I think Pakatan lack charisma leader who can effect change. I am sure they are more people in MPSJ who love this country than those who only love BN. If the leader can instill patriotism in the staff rather than believe they are with BN, then change can happen.

From news LGE seems to be able to bring majority state government staff to cooperate with him and effect change. How did he do that?

If Hong Kong can change from the days of Hoodlums to Yau Chin Yau Shui, Mo Chin Shan Shui ( Got money , got water, No money, close water ) where fireman demanded monies for water to put off fire, why can Malaysia change? If eating roti canai and Teh tarik aint healthy, it is time to change to eating roti kahwin and have white coffee instead.
Look at the HK cops in uniform compare to our Polisi, those days the cops cannot speak English but now our officers kenot speak English like them. What a transformasi. Uptodate, despite being told by reporters and later the MP about the bylaws on defacing the public properties and the cost of public funds to repaint the defaced roads, the mayor of DBKL has yet to issue Saman to the Datuk petty trader.

1001% agreed. HK really transformed from a badly corrupted government administration to a clean government, all within a few years beginning with the really independent ICAC.

Just ONE MAJOR POINT to note why HK is DIFFERENT from Malaysia - in HK then, the corruption is within the body of civil service and not so much at the TOP GOVT LEVEL .... over here, I will not even wager a bowl of currymee that the WHOLE BN GOVT IS CORRUPT from TOP DOWN .... old saying, "when a fish rots, it starts from the head" .... so how to resolve .... CHANGE GOVT !!!
