Is Facebook worth the bet that prompt Apple founder Steve Wozniak will buy Facebook stock at any price (http://www.theweek.co.uk/technology/facebook-ipo/46915/apple-founder-steve-wozniak-will-buy-facebook-stock-any-price)

Will you put your bets on FB stock as it becomes public come May 17? Or, is the value of fb overrated?

337.4 million shares in Facebook Inc stocks are up for grabs, priced between $28 and $35, that will raise as much as $11.8 billion and placing it's market value at $96 billion

You may want to know what are the Reasons Not To Buy the Facebook IPO (http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2012/05/16/reasons-not-to-buy-the-facebook-ipo/)

Perhaps it just do not make sense, and it's just mania (http://www.thestar.com/business/article/1178530--facebook-raises-ipo-price-to-34-38-per-share-valuing-company-at-more-than-100b)

Wozniak is not the best investor ... when he made millions with the Apple II and IIe, he wasted all his money organising a rock concert with his own money. That guy likes rock concerts but sometimes you'd think he has rocks in his head to waste it all like that. :D :heheheh:

Vincent Tan's lafing his way 2d bank...:D
Will it go up further on IPO day? Wait, till u read this (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002696617) or this (http://www.startribune.com/business/151645135.html). Nothing is further from the truth here (http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20120518-706004.html).
Net income in the first quarter declined 12% to $205 million compared with the same period of 2011

So far, no one is sure which way it's going to move. With profit potential of anything less than a dollar, it's not going to be very appealing.

At $38 per piece, surely investors will be making these ppl rich when they start selling their shares to them, and larfing 2d bank.

However, "Can Facebook live up to its $104 billion valuation?" (http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/18/3028293/facebook-ipo-peaked-overpriced-stock)

Poor Manchester United... if their kind neighbor Manchester City had lost the recent cup duel, perhaps their IPO would have been added some glitter but alas it is not to be...

Interesting question: how many times PE ratio did the FB IPO garner? Would a good IPO of a small coalmine counter on the Shanghai Exchange garner the same number of PE ratio? Let us not talk about the quantum or the value of the IPO capitalization okay, just the number of times of the PE Ratio....:grin2:
