Rm2,000 ringgit or a jail term of one year or both under Act 547 for assault upon conviction.
If hurts in the banana fights, then have to ask Yang Arif, Banana Plantation Manager.:heheheh:

Unfortunately....'Logic' should prevail here....if commoner things he/she is victim, can seek DAP VIP help :(

If 'commoner' is the aggressor....get a good unbiased lawyer!

Written law did not state what are the charges between the Rakyat and the Yang Berhormat. Verdicts given are based on the circumstances of the assault cases while sentencing would be given accordingly by the Yang Arif, presiding judge or magistrate.

Unwiritten law would point out that the YB would lose out if it goes Banana Republic. Size may not matter if you can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Yang Boxing like Muhammad Ali or rocket it like the eye of the tiger - YB Karpal Singh.:grin2:

This is just general statement where the poser is not a qualified LLB. For professional representation, kindly seek licenced barrister at law for actual legal & logic advice.

It all depends on who started it - then the other guy can claim self-defence .... which is why I always advise my kids NEVER EVER THROW THE FIRST PUNCH, BUT once the other person starts, JUST "BEAT THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS" OUT OF HIM !!!

Some times baca Law, it can have be translated into provoking a fight with circumstantial evidence in favour of the first punch. But then when being assaulted instead of being defensive where the "victim" has being beaten like a sugar cane pulp or not seeing daylights after which., the said person can be charged under aggravated assault charge for unreasonable use of force. The only way you can get away with it is being invisible - not by wearing inside out clothing like Invisibleman or Superman- but by using gunny sack to bag him without being recognised by him and other eye witnesses. And make sure you have alibi like going for teh tarik sessions with a receipt.

From the quacky advice from the Mean olde Chef who is a wannabe Loyar Burung Kakaktua who surprising won TKO court case in the district court of USA on his first attempt over a case of "sue and counter sued" which dragged on for 3 years for his landlord. Payment rendered for the non licence attorney - no rent increase and free meals diatas rumah and restaurant for the next 3 years. After all, he was the sous chef of 5 stars rated Buddakan restaurant where he can afford to treat or waive rent increase.:grin2:

Yan Can Cook in TV series while Zing can cook stories like LLB.

Yang Baca Sikit Banyak USA Amendments and Malaysian Acts. :heheheh:
