Early yesterday. I was in the train and it was ' Cramped Like A Can Of Sardines '. There were a few stops along the way people from the outside unable to comprehend what is Cramped Condition trying to get in. There was even annoucement in English & BM at KL Sentral but some of the foreign workers unable to comprehend either basic English or BM keep pushing.

Try taking it during public holiday like CNY or Hari Raya... worst...
80~90% is foreign workers having thier day off :D and they bring kids along as well...
I experienced it last Raya when I take from KL Sentral back to Subang... never again...

cramped condition is not new in ktm. ppl wait for ages due to trains cancellation without reason so they try to get in the 1st train that comes. Plus you never know how long you need to wait for the next train. A few months ago, tried to to ktm when car was in workshop. It was madness. Train was already cramped as early as 6.30 am.

Ung, what are you complaining about?
You obviously have not seen what its is like DAILY in the Tokyo commuter train (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlNyCHlLt1Y) system during rush hours.

Does that justify that we have to accept such crap and cramped service?

I took the JR line for about 7 months from Sagamihara to downtown Tokyo, in 1996.

Usually between 6.30-6.45am, I will wait for the train as it took 45 minutes to reach Tokyo.

I tried not to take the train around 10pm-11.30pm to avoid the bad alcohol odour from hundreds of Japanese males during these hours....

I have not seen this before..!!

Not sure which part of Tokyo… and seriously I have not seen this in any subway and train in Japan before..

Hehehheh, I have never been to Japan but I remember seeing similar pictures even 40 years ago !!

BTW, greater Tokyo has a population (http://geography.about.com/od/urbaneconomicgeography/a/agglomerations.htm) of more than 30million - just imagine the whole of Malaysia within the boundaries of Tokyo. But i do not know how big is the area of "greater" Tokyo.

One of the most busy convergence is at the 42nd Street NY where you packed like sardines when you get out of the train to reach the street from the subway paltform at morning rush hour. If you missed the intended exit, you cant make a U turn at all.

Even MRT in S'pore and HK is the same.

In HK, most passengers will vacate their seats for the seniors.

A parent & his child from mainland China was found eating in the MTR & was told off by nearby passengers.

But i think their mrt has connectivity. One do not have to go out of the station to take another line and I suppose their trains run on time. Havent taken too many ktm so cannot tell about the efficiency of our mrt system.
