Rats in USJ has reached an epic proportion, the big and fat pestilent can be seen roaming freely in and out of the gutters, garbage dump behind the bank opposite of McDonald in Taipan and the filthy back lanes of eating shops(I stop going those eating shops after seeing rats, the size of my cat, running around) I urge the local council to take urgent step to resolve this before public health become a threat. There are a lot of attention on traffic jams, parking and issuance of summon and temper run high, but these are the obvious, the RAT issue is the real threat and a more urgent one to combat, it is effecting our public health!

Let us organize a protest - not to eat there for 1 month...until MPSJ do something...

What happen to the public health officers, are they still functioning? I like the idea when they came to USJ 16 one day 2 years ago, shut down a coffee shop because the filth emancipated from there and the garbage piled had become unbearable to the resident. They should do the same in Taipan, SS 15 and all the shops around Summit, a dysfunctional public health enforcement system is the last thing we want to see happen in our community!

Anyone that can solve the rat problem will become very rich.
The City of London will pay whatever you ask if you can get rid of their rats.

Cats are a waste of time, so how come we never see any traps being set?
Around my area i dont see piles of rubbish or decaying food but put out the trap, catch a rat.

It's not only at the commercial areas. There are giant rats roaming behind my house. Root cause? Neighbors wash food remnants into the drain. When they renovate , they make sure water from kitchens flow into open drains instead of the sewer so their sink doesn't get clogged. Food gets washed into drains instead-feast for rats. When I try to advice, they think I have bad intention to get their sinks clogged. Sigh! Drains behind my house is the rats' superhighway! There are cats around too but they don't catch the rats - rats are almost the same size!

A fortnight ago, while in the queue at the Drive-Thru at McD in SS15, two huge fellas scurried in front of my car into the back portion of the Rest....wanted to tell the chap taking the orders, but he seemed more interested in collecting my cash and taking the next order.

I hope YB Hanna Yeoh see this, otherwise, a public memo to MPSJ?
