Sadly, there is NONE is SJ/USJ !!!! :( :(

Closest I can think of is the Bandar Bukit Puching (Batu 14) Poliklinik - or even closer the UM General Hospital.

This is how the SJ/USJ residents/voters are TREATED by both BN and Pakatan parties ...

If the problem is LAND, then they can bulldoze that stupid Millenium Park and build a POLYKLINIK or something there instead of another car park or whatever we-don't-need-useless-recreation-facilities BUT we need a Govt clinic/hospital here !!!

and of course, I expect BIG CONGLOMERATES like SIME DARBY and SUNWAY will lobby like mad against it coz bad for the medical centres businesses ....

I do hate the taxes I paid and always try to get even if I can..

But IMO, for infant vaccination, better go to a private pediatrician because the source of the vaccine can be very different due to price, and each vaccination is one time or the most 2-3 times before 12 years old, not a monthly affair which is costly in long term.

To get even for the tax, I advise old folks who need long term medication such as blood pressure control pills, blood sugar control pills, etc., etc. to utilize the public health care...

Cheers

I spent RM500 ~ RM1000 for the 1st year on my 1st child at Subang private clinic...
each injection is > RM100 with the injection+consultation+ocassionally fever medicine...
and I didn't pick everything that is being recommended...

one of my friend who has a daughter similar age with my 1st born staying in Kuchai Lama with a nearby Ibu-Kanak Klinik is at least RM500 richer than me... lol :D

My only experience at the Kelana Jaya one is with the pharmacy counter as I was to collect a medication dispensed by KL hospital but can also be picked up at a pre-specified nearer govt clinic of my request. I called to confirm with Kelana Jaya klinik and the pharmacist asked me to fax my prescription so that she could place an order as they don't have it. She called me upon receiving the fax to confirm that she would process the order. Two days later, she called again to inform me of the arrival, and warned of the odd working hours as it was Hari Raya holidays then.
And at the pharmacy counter, all was done within 5 minutes ! I commended this young lady who followed through my request with urgency - superb customer service. She said they have KPI to follow ! Can't believe hearing this from a govt clinic. And it was just one phone call from me. I sure hope she rubs some of her splendid working attitude to her colleagues.

Not sure if other sections are as efficient.

Totally agree with you ! if they can make a polis station in Taipan on a shoplot ,is it very difficult to set up a klinik

Well, maybe I did not express my points clearly..

I know and understand the expensive private medical fee, but the key is (always is) the priority.

You mentioned your friend who went to public clinic is rm500 richer than you. I think the question you should ask is what is extra rm500 to you. If it does not mean much than why the heck take the trouble to drive to Klang or Kelana Jaya and take the risk. I am not saying public healthcare is crap and full of risks.. They are many good doctors and medical staff there who chose to be there to serve instead of going to lucrative private practice.

I made the comment that vaccination for infant is better to consult a private pediatrician because:

1. The source of the vaccine can be different due to price. In a private clinic, you can insist for proprietary vaccine, and ask the pediatrician to explain the source and the possible side-effect (if any) if the vaccine is not from proprietary manufacturer. I doubt you can chose the source/pharm manufacturer of the vaccine in public clinic.

2. By choosing a nearby private child clinic/pediatrician as the family doctor for your baby, it helps to establish a good medical record/history during the untoward event for accurate diagnosis. Public clinic is not nearby and is none in SJ/USJ.

Putrajaya Hospital, only government hospital with exclusive 1st class ward.
It is beside LDP. 25 km south of Subang Jaya.
