The iPad is great but at 10" format, it can't go in your pocket like a smart-phone
The Samsung Tab at 7" is still too big for real portability
The smartphones currently available are too small for most "smart" purposes
Now, the new Samsung Galaxy Note (http://androidcommunity.com/samsung-galaxy-note-unveiled-5-3-high-res-hd-display-1-4-ghz-dual-core-and-more-20110901/) (..to be available in 2012) with a screen of 5.3" may be the next gadget to take over the smart-phone market. By the way, it also re-introduces the use of a stylus pen like the Palm devices in the past.
What are your opinions?
Basically, I will still think the iPad will remain a nice form factor for browsers and readers while the 3" smartphone is great in pocket portability. The note may not really cut it as it is either not big enough or small enough
