USD 22,000 for the most basic model
How basic is basic; should be 2.4 l engine, auto transmission; maybe no air-cond, sound system, reverse sensor, folding door mirror, body-kit, spoiler etc.
Now you know roughly what to put on your car sticker: "Najib took RM xxx from my when I bought this car" ;)

Met a Toyota dealer and he said the new Camry will be in Malaysia in March 2012. But it is not a hybrid because Toyota is afraid of the Malaysian gomen's frequent flip flog attitude.

The Golf price here has been bugging me for years
Here's a thought, if Tony Fernandez brings the Caterham into Malaysia in kit form, will it be tax free???
If so i want my name at the top of the list

You need an AP after you have assembled the kit to register and pay tax. Otherwise I would have assembled the the Ferrari F50 Kit long time oledi Euro40,000 only and another 2-3,000 for freight!... :D

so every avenue to a cheap car is blocked
WTF is wrong with these people???? Why are they so against people getting a good deal or a means to have some fun.
Just ruined my day
At least i can go watch uncensored Shameless :D
Last thought, do you have to pay tax if you build a kit car and keep it for track use only?
I guess this will not work either or Malaysia would already have a Caterham series

No need to pay tax or register; just use in the estates loh. Just like so many other "ghost" motorbikes, cars and lorries.
