Sure or not? Not just int'l banks' staff lah...I know a BIG local bank CEO rather well...he said Bank Managers re like robots. Not SOP from HQ all are literally blur sotongs!

No initiatives at all! No kahunas to question any thing but blur blur semo ikut aje! So, its mediocrity at its best! Suit the boleh leaders just fine!

haha... I don't think I can even disagree with any of your comments here. Maybe that is why Malaysian employees here evolved into sotong...

unfortunately, I tried your method when I first came on board my firm... it worked if I steam-roll over Malaysian bosses... but not when it comes to touching the Singapore bosses. I am still told that I don't know what I am doing because they know best coming from Singapore. I guess they forgot I used to work at wallstreet. haha

1 advice... if one is senior enough (high enough income that is) and just want to have a retirement job... do the following...

Follow whatever instructions by bosses without thinking, as long as it is legal, ethical, reputable and non-negative revenue generating…

Anything else is wishful thinking…
