Hello my most trusted forum friends, I have always come here when I need something and I almost all the time get really good advise, so here I am again needing some advise from you all.

I am looking to perform some renovations at my house in Kepong which include concreting up the backyard, changing gate, install water heater point and so on. It's been tough looking up contractors due to the horror stories you hear and I myself have had my share of dealing with these group of mentally challenged sub contractors.

I recently got 1 quotation from a contractor recommended by a relative. However, I was really pi$$ed off when he slammed his phone on me when I asked him for a discount. He quoted me RM5600 just to concrete up my backyard. It was a ridiculous amount as I was from construction before and I roughly know the estimates.

I told him RM4k can or not (in a very nice tone) and he was like, go do yourself la (slam phone). So the next thing is, i delete his number and I'm at USJ forum seeking help from the best group of forumers in the world.

Any advise or recommendations? I mean, even if you can't do it at 4K, just tell me la, i'm willing to listen. Rather than slamming the phone on me, that is just plain rude.

Nowadays, there are so many people wanting to do renovations that they don't really care what customers they lose.

Last time when I tried to expand my kitchen backyard, it cost me rm 9 K and that's considered cheap already.
