What's your experience with spam sms from business enterprises using the numbers 66300, 62003, 63660, 62228, etc?

Anyone has any ideas how to stop or block the spams? Is there any software in the market that can help?

Send a reply to the sender the following:-

STOP ALL

Suppose to work - this is according to Maxis.

However, in reality, I don't think it works as I am still getting the rubbish SPAMs over and over.

Help?

Had called up one service provider and they said that they cannot and will not STOP their sms-blasted info-mercials...(aka Spam sms)

If you plan to complain to MCMC - don't bother, bloody waste of time and effort! Chances are, they are as useless as when they told ASTRO that ASTRO could not raise subscription fees....

I am also hoping for a solution to this problem. Apart from the info-mercials, I also receive lots of SMS in BM telling me to respond if I want to see "gambar gambar lucah"

There is a way, depends on your hp - I put all these numbers into SCREENED MESSAGES of my Nokia, so all the crap sms goes directly into a kind of "junk box" (aka Screened Msgs folder) to be mass-deleted later by a touch of one button my Nokia cheapo hp :)

You can make a copy of the contents emailed it to the Malaysia Multimedia Commission.

You can call up Maxis (or your mobile provider) and ask them to block SMSes from that short-code number. I have done that a couple of times.
