MU in 552 ranking

Amazing but true, MU has been rated by our Govt Standard at 5 /6 which is the highest in the country though rankings by other universities like UTM, USM UKM are wayahead ie webometrics and other global polls. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Malaya :confused:

like how the joke went - "he got FIRST place"... ;) our ed system is being screwed big time and unless they come out of their tempurung and stop being proud of just being a jaguh kampung, they will always give excuses like "we didn't participate in that survey" or "the global survey didn't take into consideration of this and that" and then rank as they wished to have a SS session.

UM cannot be 552 with the simple reason NUS cannot be 85 and Nanyang Technological University (Sg) cannot rank 490…

NUS ranks 34 and Nanyang ranks 174 in the Times World University ranking.…

NUS has been consistently the top 50 university in the world..

I cannot imagine NUS rank 85 and Nanyang rank 490 as reported by the spain survey is a true world ranking...the board members of the NUS and Nanyang will have to hang themselves..

Both my Bachelor's and my MBA are both of MU, and I still think I have one of the best education ever in Bolehland, comparable to some of the best graduate friends I have met, so what if MU is 552! Yes Sagamihara-san, I can sense a selective spin here just like some forumers selectively whack Nestle, Coca-Cola and even KFC fried chicken! I am not that stupid or blind not to see the spin and the selective bashing of these institutions... Jealousy perhaps??? Or just plain vindictive??? :rolleyes:

I am not so blind nor stupid enough not to notice what you have been doing. It is my character to be straight forward and I am just doing exactly that here, picking up the point from what Sagamihara said earlier.

I can't find UM's ranking in 2011. Since I couldn't find it in the top 200, it must be outside the top 200 list...

Nevertheless, it cannot be 552 as shown by the Spain survey...

According to my sources, the top law school in Msia is the Intl Islamic University or IIUM. MU was the first law school yet it can't maintain that position, according to what fellow law students say ... so I am just hearsaying!~ ;)
But I will not be surprised if MU is now in the 300s ... :(
Anyway I know they are doing something about it, like opening off campus (external students) branches in the major state capitals. All the best to them.
