Drive Shaft for Kancil

The left drive shaft for my Kancil (year 2001 850 Auto), needs to be changed desperately. I regularly send my car to a Perodua service centre and they were out of stock for quite some time because the Kancil is phased out and they don't make the parts here anymore. (or something like that)
They now finally have stock. Unfortunately its original and directly from Japan and will cost me RM1,846.70.......I nearly pengsan! My car is only worth about 9K, and i'm not going to spend about 20% of my car's worth on the drive shaft.
Can anyone recommend a place where they have a not so ori drive shaft?

Basically for a Kancil, any repair shop would do. Just walk in and check the prices. The shop I regular is at SS19/7, sorry forgot the name of the shop, its the first shop, after the Shell Station.

wow that's even more expensive than a conti's. Should check it out at outside workshops.
