Hello Tony, despite building a new Low Cost Terminal with aerobridge facility for you also you donwan to stay, why ah?

Can't keep those many greedy hands away from your cookie jar izzit? Well, everybody wants a bite at the cookie if it is tasty Tony... as if you didn't know or as if you weren't told? :D

Why do you think Unca Lim shift big time to Sentosa and Macau? Or why Star Cruise also shift to Sinchapore? Or why would PPB sell a lucrative sugar monopoly business?

SiangMalam, Tony go not the same reason as others you have mention. In fact his backers foresee going better for preservation, if I'm not mistaken.

Agree it was a business decision.... and his financial backers prefer a base in quick-growth Indonesia.... but don't you think the political / social consideration would have overcome that?

From what was informed to me, it was more than a business decision. It was prompted by political uncertain too.

From wat I heard it was AA that dun wan the aerobridge to save cost. Many other airports insist on the usage of aerobridge for safety and convenience of the passenger especially for the aged and those with babies and toddlers. Imagine boarding in a thunder storm, like wat we experience in here. And we do get horror stories of AA attendants on Tidak ape mode.

Yup air asia requested that aero bridges not be built but then again there will be a few for the time when the rain would be too heavy for people to walk up the stairs to the plane. All these people have chosen to 'invest' overseas as insurance for their malaysian operations in case anything goes horribly wrong. Even the favourites like the ytls and ak have invested heavily overseas.

It is purely a business decision with perhaps a little disdain in operating on a non level playing field. Political reasons? BN will continue to rule after the GE, so that is a non issue

I'm a regular on the Jakarta-Banjarmasin route and despite 6 scheduled flights a day on a B737-900ER the flights are always full. With a population 10 times that of Bolehland and the country spread out in thousands of islands in an archipelago, it is obvious it is the place for growth.

But I see political instability in Bolehland the more compelling reason for Air Asia to shift its operating headquarters to Jakarta. I strongly believe the story I hear that the owners are afraid of the change of baton in the coming GE13.... bye bye Air Asia and bye-bye BN!

You wouldn't believe how closer are you to the truth than you can imagine... as to who the actual owners are... :p

Otherwise - how in heck  - can an LCC opt to buy an extra 300 Airbuses (320neo) when the National carrier quietly buys 10 more B737s...

Oh what a slap in the face for the BN Govt,... whilst the Govt is trying to attract FDIs (especially from the rich) from Indonesia ~ our very own LCC "relocates" TO Indonesia... I guess that the Inspiring Indonesia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIWGq9XGaro&feature=related) ad must've gotten to Tony... :p

Or perhaps its the Pucuk Ubi Masak Lemak at Restoran Garuda along Jalan Gadja Mada that got to him?

Heard there's a U-turn....
