Read what was posted in MALAYSIA-TODAY! (http://www.malaysia-today.net/mtcolumns/guest-columnists/40724-rules-of-prudence-serving-in-a-new-era) an article written by the PM of Singapore, HE Mr Lee Hsien Loong.

... dun even wanna comment... but

I wud be suprised as hell if it was printed in the MSM... if it does get printed, a few politicians on this side of the Causeway would probably die of shock & awe...
... and quite a few would also probably say that the Singapore PM must've been 'mabuk' to pen this....

... yet IMHO - what H.E. has mentioned, could be used as the rulebook or bible for aspiring politicians and leaders....

.... so many pointers, so many rules but DOESN'T take a genius to know that he is right.....

not a few yr-ends ago, i was in spore and watched LHS on SBC giving a Live new yr speech to the lil' dot nation...

Even as a tourist (ok lah frequent visitor) and a XXX hardcore politico-cynic, i was so inspired (almost moved to tears...Ok, I fibbed here), that the when the SGX opened a few days later, bought substantial investments...Hon. Prime Minister Lee ha$ been proven right thu$ far. I am glad i listened to THE right ASEAN leader in making life'$ choice$ :D
*tabik spring*

So, each time, this lil dragon opens his mouth, I sit up and listen carefully...Tima kasi BNgomen for having unifi with spore CNA. :D Else, i will be like a blur squid under a conch shell!

Those people over there are more down to earth. Seldom see them in their suits unless it is a formal occasion. Most of the time they are in just long sleeved shirts with a casual jacket that does not look like it costs the earth. Look at our mini-stars. They wear jackets like it is their native clothes. Their new minister of transport takes a bus /mrt travelling incognito unlike our mini starts who has to bring the whole contingent of press and ministry staff to accompany them on what is a photo taking opportunity. Like our pee em walking around in kl, surrounded by hordes of security and carriers.

How can we even forget that our Mini Stars even showing off thier hardy heads on bikes with thier merry men?

I think that our ministars still think they are living in feudal times where they can lord over the slaves (meaning us). They will tell us to fan ourselves instead of using air cons. Free some more!! Whilst they have portable air cons blowing into their faces in public events and they are all suited up in their armanis or what nots. It is very infuriating to see them tell us crappy stories about how we should modify our lifestyles whilst they are wearing their 20k suits and 5k shoes.

Barak Obama - he is the most powerful man on earth (due to the fact he is the man who has the launch code of US nuclear weapon), he is the President of 600 million people and a country with the size of easily 100 times bigger than the small red dot… but his annual paycheck is only 16% of the junior Lee of Singapore…

Don’t tell me high pay stop corruption – Those Scandinavian countries which always occupy the top few places in transparency ranking, public accountability, etc certainly are miles behind in term of paycheck if compare with their Singaporean counterparts…

The Singaporeans have good reason to be angry – they are 40% of them who disagree with the PAP although they can only translate the strength of 40% population into a tiny little 7% seat !!!!!!!!!
