Is it me or weather is really HOT & HUMID ?

The last few days, my house felt like a steaming sauna even with all the windows, doors, aircon, fans and what have you opened wide and at full blast ?

Any idea what on Earth is going on and how hot is it ? Felt really hot beyond normal !! :( :(

I think the weather has permanently changed. If we can feel the difference now imagine the situation 20 to 30 years down the road and for that we have to thank the present generation for the situation.

Bro, 1st year in bolehland !! :D

It is common during this period (Apr-July) weather is humid and hot. The moment you step out from the house, you start perspire….

Temperature is around 33-36 degree C and humidity is more than 85%...

Everyday I see a few angmo bathing under the hot sun at the pool from morning to noon. Just wonder how they stand the heat…

Its angmor culture lots of them like to be tanned on purpose...especially at the beach or hotel poolside whenever they're somewhere in the tropics or Med. Most Asians don't fancy getting tanned in the sun anywhere.. :D
Trouble is in this land where its so hot, then suddenly the temp drops drastically when rain, people can get sick suddenly with macam macam and impede work productivity.

Turn on the aircon in the smallest room and chill out and enjoy. More economical use of power.

Maybe this year around, you had not been traveling at this time of the year?

Seriously, the last 3-4 years the weather had been as such, as I feel it.

This hot burning sensation would be there for the next 3 months, but intermittently will be masked by heavy and thunderous rainfall. Yeah, the thunder sounds more like a bomb!

If it gets any more humid, we'll have to squeeze ourselves dry every morning...:D

I donno about you guys, but it is common knowledge amongst my old folks that the muggy feeling is just the precursor to stormy weather. Scientifically, I will associate it with atmospheric pressure changes which cause the air around us to be stagnant with high humidity ... hence your sensation of being uncomfortably hot. Veejay's observation of thunderstorms is consistent with this atmospheric phenomenon.

If it is just rain that is not so bad. If it is accompanied with strong winds, sometimes roof tiles get shifted or blown off and thats when the trouble starts. You cannot do anything but wait for the rain to stop, no one would want to climb on the roof when it is wet so we are at the mercy of the rain dripping, if we are lucky and pouring if a few pieces of tiles go crashing down.

Thats probably why Malaysians spend rediculous money or amount on energy cost to cool down oneselves. Unfortunate state of affairs.
I could think electric bills are probably lowest at Camerons or Frasers. Don't say Genting...that place is commercial.
Thats also why Malaysians are F***ed when energy costs goes up! Malaysia have become expensive living and continue till kingdom come. The gahmen will do or can do NOTHING. A few decades ago, people just didn't spend on energy like people now. So much for progress and a hotter urban Malaysia.

Eventhough the sun is not shining but still hot and humid..rather stay in doors. The clinics are packed with ppl suffering with cough and flu like symptoms.
