Salam and regards, especially to residents of USJ4.
Please hold your horses, before all facts are misconstruced and go haywire, least we USJ4 residents are confused and antogonise the Government authorities, be they the Federal, State or Local Authorities.
To put the records straight what En. Vijay (Sec. RA USJ4) mentioned in todays email was correct. That is, we applied to register Casablanca RA but due to reasons of Government's policy. I was advised and tasked for the moment to Chair USJ4 RA. No way in any terms, have I uttered nor indicated that we have been approved for G & G or whatsoever. We are known as PERSATUAN PENDUDUK USJ 4, SUBANG JAYA, SELANGOR or USJ 4, SUBANG JAYA SELANGOR RESIDENT'S ASSOCIATION (Reg Nr.: 0936 -11-SEL), on the 2nd of March, 2011.
I also concur with Vijay that we need to have our 1st AGM, if hopefully before the end of April, 2011 to either maintain or elect new office bearers and to amend particular parts of the constitution to cater for the whole of USJ4 residents, besides other issues.
To begin with we have earlier schedulled our CC meeting on the 16/03/11, the 1st after approval of our registration, to discuss among other things, the date, time and venue of the AGM. To enable us to legally have the AGM, registration of residents of USJ4 (only Malaysians 18years and above, except for University and College students, are entitled to register) as members (after paying the approved dues, that is RM10/- registration, only 1 time and RM30/- permonth) need to be done asap. So those residents who have adhered to the need be, in accordance of our RA constitution, can be invited to attend the AGM, when we are prepared to do so.
Here I would sincerely appeal to all residents especially USJ 4, RA CC Members, to refrain from diseminating incorrect information to any one, be they residents of USJ 4, or otherwise, which would definately cause confusion to all concern.
Hopefully I have made myself clear and appologise on behalf of residents especially CC members, if you have been misinformed.
So please do register immediately and do the needfull when you receive the membership application forms or you hear of it ready for distribution, which is in process still and to be approved at our CC meeting soon. Thank you and my regards to all residents of USJ 4,
Regards and Wassalam

The whole of USJ4. Apparently, we cannot break it up to get it registered with ROS.

... Thank you.
I can understand paying RM30-per month for USJ4 residents living in the GnG portion (USJ4/4) - what about those in USJ4/1 and USJ4/6-9 ?
If you are suppose to represent the WHOLE of USJ4 as required by ROS, hope you can clarify this matter. I am happy to join the USJ4RA but not pay the RM30- per month since my area is unprotected, so ..... unless, this USJ4RA is meant EXCLUSIVELY for USJ4/4 residents only and you are just informing the rest of USJ4 as a courtesy and requirement by ROS ?
Please BE TRUTHFUL on this ... your actions will impact other USJ4 residents as and when they go GnG and this RM30- per month in your constitution may need major adjusting and debate when other portions of USJ4 go GnG .... we are happy you have gone GnG, please allow some loopholes for the other parts when we get there also.
You may rewrite and put residents in USJ4/4A-Z are required to apy RMXXX, and until such time when other portuins are ready, then USJ4/1-2 pay RMYYY and USJ4/6-9 pay RMZZZ or something like that ... please consider.

Best you ask Mr Shariff himself. His email is msyshah@yahoo.co.uk
but I suspect it is a requirement by ROS... but I may be wrong....

Dear ALL, we are still in the mist of preparing and official notice to the USJ 4 residence. The below note was a published in the yahoogroup as a clarification note, when someone had misinterpret the ROS approval was for GnG. Again, it was not for GnG its registration approval for RA.
If you have any doubt, do let me know, will try to clarify it here.

CM, the fees is not finalized yet. basically the fee is for running the RA and not for GnG. As of now we dont have further information on the fees and the management of 4/3-4/4 GnG. We would be approaching them soon.
As you see the RM 30 above was meant for Casablanca residence, since the group was small, hence RM30 was proposed, but we have a wider group of residence now.
What do you think would be a suitable fee for memberships, in your POV?

It all depends on what you plan to do with the RA ? If it purely for GnG then token RM1- per year to fulfill ROS requirement. If you all have plans for this and that, then ... $$$$ :) Just remember the more you collect, the more accountability and activities are expected.

i received the letter of invite 2 days back, and it states there the monthly dues is at RM30. now, i'm NOT living in the casablanca area, and referring to the earlier comment that RM30 is to be implemented as the groups is small, does this RM30 now applies to ALL USJ4 residence regardless of which part of USJ4? if so, then RM30 per household per month, cumulative, is a big sum of money. what will the monthly collection be used for then, seeing that it is not for GnG or anything of that sort? i don't think that the upkeep of the USJ3 RA will require that amount.
i would gladly pay the monthly dues of RM30, provided that i know what the money will be used for, and preferably for better security to our area.

I have also received the letter and from my understanding, it will only benefit those living in the Casablanca USJ4 that is GnG - the Rm30- looks like their monthly GnG maintenance fees.
Well, IF that is the case, there is no point for me to become a member of USJ4RA to help pay/subsidise someone else GnG ...
I hope I am wrong, so please clarify.

I would like to call all USJ4 residents to register at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RAUSJ4/ which has been setup as a communication medium for all residents of USJ4
The letter that you had received is NOT for Casablanca alone but to the whole of USJ4
Hope that clarifies.
Feel free to come forward with your queries, suggestion and comments at the yahoogroup. Thanks

Dear En Shariff,
In my opinion, all Punita's points are valid. It will good to hear from other residents as well.
I will add to her points here:
>1st and foremost the committee proper must be formed as what we have now is pro-tem committee which was formed to establish the Resident Association and getting it formalize.
>2nd whatever other decisions or activity impacting the residents should be managed by the official committee this is in reference to Societies Act 1966 Clause 6. Whereby a local society is already formed and registered. Its time to elect the committee as the ROS shows RA USJ4 is the only legal society for USJ4 residents but that does not expand over to the current committee.
Yes, this must be done. Current pro-tem commitee only comprises of the USJ4 Casablanca residents. It should involve residents from the entire USJ4. A meeting should be called to get this going first.
>3rd referring to the above, the legality of the amount prescribed to be collected is of course questionable. This should be collectively decided by the residents of the said area.
Only after the actual committee is chosen, can the monthly subscription be allowed, that too the amount should be agreed by the members. I agree with the payment of RM10 for registration though but not RM30 per month.
>4th Item 9 definitely putting the cart before the horse. I would definitely recommend that the pro-tem committee does not presumption that what you may have in mind is what the residents want.
Agreed wholly. I definitely don't agree with CCTVs and a rental of an office. I am sure others have their own opinion as well. only after the selection of the new committee, should we even discuss about this.
>5th For the last item 14, I guess best to be answered by the ROS Director himself. The actual AGM can only be attend after the residents become paid members. Which means paying directly to pro-tem committee which made the decision of monthly and registration fee independently.
Agreed.
I am posting this in the USJ forum on the net so we can get more feedback from the forumers there.

Thanks Jeyanthy for posting it up. I just hope it will be smooth sailing for the formation resident association.
The namesake itself resident association means collectively to harmonize and bringing good for the residents within that area. (whatever the good it means)
Below is an excerpt from house buyers association....
These are some of the reasons for forming one:
To act as a watchdog for their future community.
To have a cohesive voice in the interest of their community.
To be organized when there is a need for contacts and communication.
To share the workload should there be a need for sharing tasks.
To share resources in materials or in ideas to maintain or improve their community
To volunteer for a good cause towards an enjoyable life in their community
So I hope some of the forum members take it easy, I don't think anyone in USJ4 needs to be subsidized by others even if some may feel that you are way above others.
