Sorry, I disagree that the rakyat have to accept the human right violation of the government as a price to pay for prosperity.
LKY contribution to Singapore success is one thing, and his brutal suppression of political dissidents is another thing.
Otherwise, every dictator can rationalize his behavior.
PRC can say crackdown of Tiananmen square with few thousands deaths is a small price to pay for the country long-term prosperity… Nixon can defense that water gate is no big deal for national security…and of course the Junta in Myanmar definitely can say arresting Aung Sang Suu Kyi and put her in house arrest from 1990 to 2010 is a necessity for Myanmar.
I always believe the Chinese saying "Kill one to warn a Thousand". We're not in LKY's shoes so we don't know what position he's in. There are also thousands who seek political asylum, who is a father and a son but if they chose this journey it's something he/she is going to expect.

Then let the one killed be your kid... and I hope you will continue with the above explanation once your loved one killed by the authority for the purpose of "kill one to warn a thousand".
We are furious of what happened to TBH for the obvious reason. Similarly, we should use the same reason when it happened in other country. LKY was WRONG violating an individual human right by sending him Ito jail/exile in an island WITHOUT TRIAL for tenure LONGER THAN THE JAIL TERM OF NELSON MANDELA.

Since you're so stupid, let me decipher for you. "Kill one to Warn a Thousand" is a figure of speech to control, a saying to describe effective control method. My sympathise if you took it literally and perhaps you can join your son for refresher's course in pre-school.

I recived a PM from a person called Gary as below:
I don't appreciate the tone and the way you speak. Don't involve family and the way you put it is crossing the line. If you can't handle the forum then shut the fuck up!
I repeat - Since you believe "kill one to warn a thousand"...let the one be killed is you loved one.
If you can't take it, don't post it.

It's a forum grow up, you're entitled to your views and I'm to mine but if you want to get family involve then you should be the out to stay out! Typical...

As you can read from above, this thread is extracted from a main-forum discussion of a similar name.
The 2 flers given bananas here had broken the rules of decorum. Perhaps Sagamihara mistook Gary's idiom and took it personnaly. Regardless whether Gary was wrong in the first place, Sagamihara should not have posted any retaliation but simply reported to admin. Gary's reply with personal remarks is not in compliance with our rules.
