Yes, there is more than 100,000 facebook showing thier mega power to reject the 100 mega tower.
Nobody would reject if there just have 100 mega towels to wipe the excess and wastage. In fact, just seconds when I join the face 2 face http://www.facebook.com/NoMegaTower I already got support within seconds and got seconded.

This ivory tower of Najib will be his waterloo. i can predict a massive public backlash in the next GE. But knowing najib, i am sure he will do a u-turn very soon when the heat is on.

he won. Its a 'private' foundation company's project. NOT a gomen project. So watever the spin, Go str8 or make U-turn, he won. :o

My crystal ball says: Blur sotong Rakyak will pay for it much later. Not this yr, not next yr, not next decade...u'll see.

Why no face book to reject the inflated civil service cost? the ballooning of putrajaya staff force? This is a bigger evil than the 100storey PPP, as the civil servants will vote to keep their evil ,master in power.

So, Any1 know how to set up such thingy in fb?

This is a fallacy to think that civil servants are pro-UMNO or pro-Barisan.

Pls enlighten me. But I though the govt said they have NO money and that's why they are withdrawing all the subsidies such as oil but they have the money to build this mega project which is of doubtful benefits to the common people ?

The FB protest is relevant, as some of the project opponents are PNB unit trust holders who have every right to express their displeasure at PNB, the Menara's developer and their fund manager.

You did not read the PNB Chairman's statement? The project will NOT involve the use of govt or unit-holders' money. It will be from "internally generated" funds and presumably borrowings / bonds. Who will guarantee the bonds?

Thats how PKFZ started - as a "Private Finance Initiative"

Internally-generated fund my foot.... its gonna be sukuk bonds since sukuk bonds is now the in-thing and the trend! Anyway, isn't internally-fund of PNB owned by unit holders themselves and aren't they the public?

To vote is not just a citizen right, it is a duty and privillege for every rakyat to do it and for democracy sake.
Just wonder why Malaysians would complained about the cow dung and bull poo in the own yard, yet would not and have not even register to be a voter.
Pelik tapi benar. :p :( :p

If it ain't govt money, why announce the project in a govt budget in parliament? Shouldn't it have been a private initiative then, and PNB announce it to Bursa Malaysia or something like that?

As far as the BN Govt is concerned, when the situation suits them, they will regard EFP, PNB, THaji, ATMFund etc etc as "Govt" or as "Private" as they feel fit to take the money .... so now, they are regarded as "private" ...  So it is seen as "private investments" INSTEAD of Govt robbing OUR SAVINGS and FUNDS !!!!

Just when you thought the fella will learn something from the hue and cry of the 100-storey tower project, he announces the Nuclear Plant, now this is very scary.

A nuclear plant is in itself scary, a nuclear plant to be built in a hurry??? Anyway, read it HERE! (http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/146422)

Seems to me somebody is grabbing as fast as he could, is there something happening he knows about that we don't?

Petronas twin tower foundation design by Malaysian, built by one of Malaysian property developer, french, german, italian, british also african; Tower blocks structure design by malaysian and american, built by malaysian, indonesian, korean and japan ; landscape design by Italian.

For this 100 storey , are we going to rely on the foriengner expertist ??

IF we, malaysian can have the opportunity to Design & Built the 100 storey Tower, and carry the name BUILT BY MALAYSIAN , it is an evident to the world that MALAYSIA is truely BOLEH !

BUT . . . but . . .

Does the government can accept that malaysian Engineers BOLEH ?
Can the government keep the foriegn engineers away from this Mega Project ?
( here my view exclude finance issues )

You forgot to add...

Can it be really called BUILT by Malaysian using truly Malaysian workforce and not imported ones?

The more I read about this 100-storey tower, the more I am beginning to think that it is nothing more than a RED HERRING (diversion) and a lightning rod for any further and detailed scrutinies on other parts and aspects of the ETP .... IT STICKS OUT SO OBVIOUS like the lightning rod.

Time to forget this stupid tower and check on the other sections .... I think there are a LOT OF HIDDEN agendas and money buried elsewhere ....
