View Full Version : The Great Subang Jaya crawl came back!
Anyone would like to share experience with mine?
I left my house in USJ 6 at 8:20am heading towards Subang Jaya. The traffic is so great that I am reaching the flyover at the SS 19 at 8:50 am. Then the traffic eased.
There is no constructions, there is no accidents, nor today is the first day of school, neither it is raining today ...
I cannot imagine if the NPE starts constructing the flyover in SS 15 to connect to the Persiaran Tujuan ...;)
The junction to USJ 3 / USJ 4 before the flyover is so messy that I am surprise that there is no accident happens looking at the way cars squizzing out from the two lane road ......

Yup, it's been a nightmare since the new year started. I leave my home in USJ 3 at 8.30 am and I only reach office in KL at almost 10 am.
It's tiring and frustrating!

we either "squeeze" through the USJ3/USJ4 junction or we do not go to office. tough choice, there. but i must say this, the good people of USJ has been very patient and very accomodating, allowing us from USJ3 and USJ4 "squeeze" past their cars. thank you.:)

I am right to say that majority of USJarian drivers are impatient lot. There is no such thing as yellow boxes or yellow lights (ok lah...amber) They are "colour blind to yellow." This can be clearly seen at the traffic light junction at USJ 4 turning into Sri Selangor School. Inspite of not being able to move a further one inch, you never fail to see these drivers inching forward and thus blocking all those having right of way when the traffic light turns green. Also, many drivers claiming right of way will chose to turn into the road mention by yokeim smack head on with three lane of outgoing traffic thus screwing the whole traffic situation at this junction. Why can't these people be sympathetic enough take the alternative route and save all those at this junction all the stress. I always have this heroic feeling whenever I reach this junction. I will take the innermost lane and always without fail let out as many cars as possible. I don't know how people can bear to see helpless ladies or mothers with school going children struggle to inch out when they themselves could have stopped to release the flow out. How I wish the courtesy traffic campaign now going on in Singapore covers SJ/USJ as well.
PS: Is there a yellow box at the Persiaran Tujuan/Sri Selangor School traffic light junction? It makes no difference to me.
From usj 2 to sunway took a whole 45 minutes yesterday and today whichever way you take ...Summit or SS19 route !
Route to federal highway is smooth going BUT all those idiot traffic light timing is holding everyone right back to usj.
Where are those so call intelligent traffic light that at one time so proud of ? .Another typical rip off again ?? Can spend millions to widen the roads so that we can experience wider jams .
Gov, stop spending millions on Highways, Expressways or Yourway. I agree, widening road to let drivers experience wider jams ...
Concentrate on improving our public transport! Build LRT in Subang, USJ, DJ, DU, PJ, and other areas! and also please with proper planning. Dont build the LRT station in the middle of no where and expect us to drive 10km to reach the station.
Thank you.
P/s: Left my house (USJ 14) at 7.40am, reach KTM Komuter at 8.25am today.
It seems that this crawl will be a daily sight from now on. God knows until when it will end.
I was told that this crawl started as early as 7:30 am at USJ 4 near the junction to Taipan. And now I will have to get off my house at 7:30 am before I can get to work on time. Since this crawl begins, I have never able to make it to the office before 9:00 am.
I really cannot imagine the time during the road works .......:(
This Subang Jaya crawl thing is 'siaw'.
Sometimes, its really bad (like yesterday - left house at 7.30 am and arrived in Glenmarie HICOM at 8.45 am.) Today was not too bad - total time was only 35 minutes)
But there have been times when the road is practically clear and smooth flowing. (Of course this rarely happens.)
This is my theory on the crawl. Many people usually take the back route (NKVE/Kesas) but sometimes opt to go through the front way. And when they do, the super jam starts. Then they realise "Hang-on, maybe going through the front is not such a good idea." And so, the next day they go through the back again - which in turn eases the crawl.
Makes sense?
