* Sponsored by: Citizens of Gainesville Florida and Supporters of Religious Freedom everywhere

Terry was a convict for insider trading and he took up the pastorate of this church after being released. It is a small church of less than a 100 members. It is sad that a misguided individual could cause so much alarm. Franklin Graham, Sarah Pailin, Pat Robertson and WEA leaders are persuading him to drop his threat. Even a local iman in his area has offered his friendship to Terry.

This is what Nostradamus predicted, not a war of nations but a war of religions! :(
Fortunately, the Bible is recognised and respected by the Muslims because Nabi Isa is also one of their prophets. They are known as the People of the Book!

So he is the next target ... after salman rushdie .... Americans never learn... :D

Actually Salman Rushdie is British (Indian descent)

It is not fair of you to generalise in this way .. my American colleagues and friends are all disgusted with this event and recognise that it is being done for personal fame rather than a political or religious motive. (not that those motives would be acceptable either)

He's a small fry fighting desperately for attention.
His action will only result in a church fueled by hatred.

Most Christians are ashamed of him and are disgusted with his brand of hatred.

His actions this Saturday might just about be the trigger for Global chaos.

Afghans protest Quran burning plan, torch US flag> YAHOO NEWS (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100909/ap_on_re_as/quran_burning_reaction)
"If Quran is burned it would be beginning of destruction of America," read one English-language banner held up by the protesters, who chanted "Down with America!"

Now the question on many minds is - Is this a staged event to trigger WW3?

I just received news that the planned burning has been called off. Many people from all over the world wrote and admonished Terry and his leaders on the consequences of his action. Even the White House responded as well as many Christian leaders.

I think this is a good example of how a religious community should respond when a black sheep of the family breaks protocol.

There is a catch .... provided the planned mosque at Ground Zero does not go ahead .... only delayed for a day or two for the mosque authorities to provide a definite answer. .... lets wait and see...

This may be a problem! Watch the interview with Imam Rauf, the person behind the "Ground Zero Mosque" on Larry King and you will see that a Catch-22 situation is in place. It looks like either way, the US is at a loss.

I watched it live of CNN yesterday .... damn difficult to give a satisfactory position on the matter .... a classic Catch-22 situation as u said.
Any backing away will be a devastating loss of face .... as Nostradamus predicted ... the end is nigh! :(

Religious conflict and hostilities mingled with politics and vested interests, have been very real for centuries. I just don't see an end to it till kingdom come.

I reckon if this happened here in Malaysia, I'm sure the person responsible for such threat would be quickly bundled to Kamunting under ISA and shut up indefinitely. Can this happen in USA, I think not, laws are different.

Global support on Social Networks for the burning has been dismal with almost 20 times in numbers against Pastor Jones. There is also feedback that the Media coverage of this has been reckless. Watch below.

Also in Tennessee.. Here (http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?S=13129871)hahaha the whole world is under stress again - this is the perfect outlet - let the tension rise, some protests and admonishments and anger and then things will cool down and the world will go back to what it was doing before.

On September 11 which is the day after Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the 9th anniversary and the day that people are planning to burn Qur'an's, I will not be condemning, protesting, memorializing, moralizing, passing judgement or anything else.

Instead I will be having lunch, secure in the knowledge that more and more people are going to defend the Qur'an, read the Qur'an for the first time or again (which is important because the word "Qur'an" comes from "Qar-a-a'" meaning "to read+learn"), and for every Qur'an that is burned, thousands more will be published and distributed.

I am secure in my faith and confident in God/Allah and that people know the difference between right and wrong ... so I hope that the rest of you can enjoy a good lunch as well.

Cheers, m

M, wifey and I were driving around Yala to visit some friends and her distant relatives in Southern Thailand for the Eid Mubarak. We were advised not to continue with our drive-around holidays due to the anger of the large Muslim community here. Thats why we are back early.

We were at one roadside stall just north of Sadao and we have frequented this particular stall everytime we drive into Thailand coz the mini roti canai and the unique way they prepare the chicken curry is really nice. This time the Pak Haji asked me , "why are you Christians acting like this?" and the rest of the patrons in the stall started giving us the strange look.

I just told him that we are NOT Christians and we do NOT agree to this stupid act by some religious lunatics in the US. That kinda ease the tensions a litlle.

Thereafter I told my wife its best we cut short our drivearound holidays and not take chances... so here I am posting on usj.com.my...

My yearly HRAF wishes via sms this year have not been acknowledged either!
Does this mean they reject it, coming from a "Catholic Christian"?
Some tell me that they can't accept good wishes from a non-Muslim!
But some will wish me Merry Christmas!
