View Full Version : WW3 Starting This Month?

This will lead to a World War 3 Scenario

A group of experienced, vetran FBI and CIA officials have presented a memo to US President Barack Obama stating that Israel will bomb Iran later this month.

This group believes that Israel will go unilateral on Iran, without consulting the US or the UN. They told Obama to be careful for Israel might "blindside" the White House and want Obama to warn Netanyahu firmly, immediately and publicly form attacking Iran.

If another major war starts.....

What do you think will be the consequences for us living here in Malaysia? Anyone care to share some thoughts?

I think a religious crusade will break out and consume the whole world not only us here in Malaysia. There will be the usual burning of flags as that is quite the in-thing these days.
The thing to look out for, I suppose, would be the superpowers consolidating their differences and uniting to 'teach Israel a lesson'. Netanyahu is known to be a hardliner so he probably wouldn't compromise with any of the superpowers, even the US, what more with Obama being well....what he is. I am more worried about the combined forces of the bear and the dragon. If they get involved, we're all done for. Hope Malaysia will be untouched, though doubt it..

The Dragon will be affected....and the Bear is getting prepared like banning Wheat exports on an excuse of regional drought....just when Wheat is already on a 12 year high

READ: China is a Barometer... (http://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/Editorial-Board-Blog/2010/0806/China-is-a-barometer-on-whether-Israel-will-attack-nuclear-plants-in-Iran)

China stands to temporarily lose its third-largest source of oil imports if Israel does bomb Iran. That prospect would disrupt the Chinese economy, something Beijingís leaders canít afford.

It all boils down to the dollars and cents, doesn't it? If economy is the driving force, we're in trouble. If religion gets into this concoction, we're in even more trouble. If we stay neutral which is impossible, we'd probably die of starvation when food is scarce with food producers or bears stockpiling their supplies. If we get involved, we'll probably die even before we start. Either way, if you are appointed special advisor to the powers that be (i.e. here in Bolehland), what might your council be, I wonder.....

1. Many may say or sigh, OMG!!! then go to mamak order teh tarik and act as if nothing happened.
2. Itchified flers will gather next Friday and stage street demo and pollute the air with burning flags.
3. Business as usual, other than sometime reading daily news.
4. Tok kok more than neccessary if and when the topic crops up
5. Business as usual, make hay while the sun still shine.
6. Anyone book 1st flight out and migrate to NZ? Exchange rate is only 2something.. bearable mah!
Typical?

I am more optimistic in that any strike will be quick and contained within a certain region i.e. the middle east...Israel will always be "protected" as usual and i doubt any of the Arab countries could do much

Israel may not always be 'protected'. They weren't 'protected' when they were conquered by the Babylonians, Romans and the Assyrians. But I prefer your optimism. If the conflict is contained, we'd all be 'just fine'. :)

It will not happen UNLESS it gives advantage edges to USA. USA also want want to save her own country economy and people from another doom day. For sure this war, is disadvantage to US, BRIC, EU & pacific region. :(

WoW!....it sure looks like these guys are SERIOUS!

[For the benefit of those who never click on links :D...and so as not to misinterpret the news by paraphrasing...I have added some direct quotes below]

From Washington Times:

"Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, threw public attention back to the military option on Sunday when asked on "Meet the Press" whether the military had a plan for attacking Iran.

"We do," Adm. Mullen said, adding that striking Iran "is an important option, and it's one that's well understood."

Adm. Mullen's answer indicates that Pentagon strategists have updated and finalized a war plan for Iran."

Rtd Gen. McInerney:
"A Pentagon strike against Iran would rely heavily on the B-2 bomber and cruise missiles to try to destroy the regime's ability to make nuclear weapons, analysts say, after the top U.S. military officer said a war plan is in place.

The missiles, fired from surface ships, submarines and B-52 bombers, would take out air defenses and nuclear-related facilities."

"Gen. McInerney said B-2s would fly over Iran while cruise missiles would be fired off shore. The operation would last several days, he said."

Cuban leader Castro warns of Nuclear War...his first government function since he nearly died in 2006. This was on Saturday at a formal session of parliament.

Quote:
"If Obama approves an attack on Iran, he added, he will trigger a war that will spread through the Middle East and Asia and cause ``the instantaneous death of hundreds of millions people, among them an incalculable number of people in his own country.''

Sorry bud, wrong word used....as defined by Wikipedia:
"A warmonger is a pejorative term that is used to describe someone who is eager to encourage a people or nation to go to war.

If commenting or updating others of the possibility of imminent war is 'warmongering'.....then it looks like ALL newspapers, news websites, etc will be the biggest Warmongers.

Even the term might be 'Scaremongers'....might not fit. Wiki again:
"Fear mongering (or scaremongering) is the use of fear to influence the opinions and actions of others towards some specific end."

Doubt the opinion of anyone of us here, matters to those planning to go to war :D

Neither can it be 'Rumor-mongering' as US military Chief has admitted on TV that they have finalized plans and are ready [see earlier post]

Now about 'The CHILDREN'....of course they are the one who will always suffer from the misdeeds of self serving Adults....when have Adults 'ever listened to children'?

Kuma. Agree with your views.

Pentagon strategists planning a war plan for Iran? Haven't they learn from Iraq? Aren't they a little over-stretched?

Castro's threat?...... probably bluffing.....

Not much of my views in earlier posts....most of it quotes from the news portals :D

Haven't they learn from Iraq? Aren't they a little over-stretched?

Now some views...my 2cts :D

Actually, they have learnt, of sorts from Iraq and Afghanistan!

Wars are costly....that is if you are not a major manufacturer of weapons...the reasons Iran will be attacked go far beyond Iran's possible nuclear weapons.

Castro's threat?

He;s not threatening...no grounds to...just trying to bring it up as a 'world statesman'....in preparation for his speech at the UN next month.

A month and half back, I put up this Thread as speculation was rife then of impending World War 3.

Well, I just got this bit of news and I thought I update those who has followed this Thread.

It looks like all possibility of war in Iran got held up

4 US Banks are to open branches in Iran, with Citibank and Goldman Sachs leading the pack

So now, the Israelis are getting frustrated!
Israel: No choice but to attack Iran

Read Today's - Israel Today (http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=21908 )
"Israeli officials are becoming increasingly frustrated by the international communityís foot-dragging regarding Iranís defiant nuclear program"

Thanks Kuma, for the update. Just so you know, I'm one of those still following this thread and will continue doing so. I think it's a matter of time before Israel moves. Netanyahu is known to be a hardliner. But we'll see, won't we?

I read somewhere that the real trouble will begin when a six nation coalition headed by the Bear attacks Israel. We'll also see about that, won't we?

Mother earth has better worldly affairs to take care of...;)-
