1. The 3rd track marks would have gone in 4 days.
2. Murphy sniffing the tracks mean there was still human odor in them.
3. I think Edmund was there earlier in Gomer's cottage and therefore he was not telling the truth.

If Edmund was telling the truth
his tracks would no longer possess
an odour and therefore would have
been of no interest to Murphy, the dog. :D

Baldrick used to be a bootlegger manufacturing moonshine from barley. He usually took 1/10 of the whisky as payment. One day, Edmund Blackadder received exactly one liter of whisky after Baldrick had removed his fee. How much whisky was produced from Edmund's barley before the fee was removed?

1/10x=1 liter
x= 1 liter x 10
x= 10 liters

Dervish

1/10x=1 liter
x= 1 liter x 10
x= 10 liters
1/10 x is Baldrick's payment
formula is flawed ;)

Dervish

Let x=whisky produced

x - 1/10x = 1
9/10x = 1
x = 10/9 liters

Morpheus boarded the last car of a passenger train. Every seat was taken. He set his luggage down just as the train was passing the "Purple Cow Hotel". Morpheus walked forward through the train at the steady speed of 1.5 kph. Half an hour later, he reached the front of the train. Unable to find any seat there, he returned to his luggage, walking at the same speed as before. When he reached his luggage, they were passing Ripley's Museum which is ten km from the Purple Cow Hotel. How fast was the train moving?

Read carefully TTR:

Baldrick took 1/10 of the whisky as payment
Edmund received 1 liter of whisky after Baldrick removed his fee i.e. x - 1/10x =9/10x=1

So x - 1/10x = 1
x = 10/9 liters

Published answer:-

There must have been one liter and 1/9th of a liter BEFORE Baldrick removed his fees. Since one liter represents 9/10th of the total produced, we know that nine units will equal one liter. We also know that nine of Baldrick's portion will equal one liter and therefore we can conclude that the total produced was one liter plus 1/9th of a liter.

It was a stormy inky night. Naka, Coleslaw, Mr Chang and Venuspop stood at Syed's Bistro, USJ7 next to Metro Bus depot and Goodyear Court. Only the four of them were at the restaurant. They were there for the First Friday Teh Tarik Session. Coleslaw met Naka, Mr Chang and Venuspop for the first time. Venuspop was angry with Mr Chang because the former had just been issued a banana by the latter for a cheeky post at the "Go Figure" thread. Suddenly the power went off. Everyone was in total darkness, There was the sound of a kiss followed by a punch. Moments later when the power came on, Naka smiled since he thought Coleslaw had just belted Mr Chang, who was sporting a fresh black eye. Coleslaw thought Mr Chang was a little strange because, instead of trying to kiss her, he must have tried to kiss the other two. Mr Chang thought Venuspop must have tried to kiss Coleslaw, and that she accidentally hit him instead. Only venuspop knew exactly what happened. Can you deduce what took place?

A large motor home pulled out to pass and crashed head-on into an oncoming car. Buddy Halls who was driving the car died on the spot. The driver of the motor home, Ricky died. So did Saul Green. Only Edmund Blackadder was unharmed. When questioned, Edmund recounted what happened. "Saul and me were in the back having a few beers and playing a little poker. He stood up to get another beer. Next thing I knew there was a crash and we went flying. Saul was thrown back against the rear door. He must have killed himself when he hit the back of his head on the rear door handle." Clouseau immediately brought Edmund in on suspicion of murder. Why?

At midnight, Clouseau arrived at the home of Edmund Blackadder. Edmund was on his front lawn photographing the heavens. Clouseau said, "There was a break-in at the Purple Cow Arcade a couple of hours ago. Someone saw a man fitting your description feeling the scene." Edmund quickly replied, "It wasn't me. I've been here taking a picture of the "Little Dipper" for the past two hours. The stars are very clear tonight." Edmund clicked his camera shutter closed and said, "There, I've just finished a two hour exposure. I'll go and develop this picture to prove my innocence." When Clouseau examined the developed photograph, he saw a perfectly clear picture of the "Little Dipper". Would this picture substantiate Edmund's alibi?

When you exposed your camera for 2 hours at the sky, the moving stars would have been in different positions and you would not have a perfect picture.

So Edmund is lying

While explaining the purpose of his call, Baldrick went to the fridge and withdrew a tray of ice. Dropping a cube in his scotch, he began. "I owed Bubba some money and I didn't know he was here waiting for me when I returned home. I haven't been paying my power bill. They cut it off two days ago. He was nervous and unsteady, that's why he only drop 1 ice cube in his whisky.

If she was shot in the back, the bullet would have gone through her stomach and blood would have gushed out there. Jenny would have fallen backwards and her stomach would have been bloody. Edmund probably turned her over as he couldn't stand seeing the sight of the bloody scene, and that's why he grabbed his stomach even before the Jenny's body was turned making him guilty of murder.

Megan McCormick was on a gruelling trip from Alpha to Beta. Megan and her bicycle were able to hitch a ride to Omega, which was exactly half way to Beta. The ride lasted one hour, and was ten times faster than if Megan had cycled the same distance. When Megan got out of the car at Omega she noticed her tyre was flat. This meant walking the rest of the way to Beta. Walking took her twice as long as cycling. When Megan finally reached Beta, she repaired her bicycle tyre and rode the entire distance back to Alpha. How much time did each trip take? Which trip was faster?

Clouseau noticed that Edmund only stumbled over the body on his way back. Therefore, when Edmund felt his way down the hall to turn the light on, he must have known the body was on the floor, otherwise he would have tripped over it.

Aiya, then the wood is heavier. No more options left... :D

According to Wiki:
The specific strength is a material's strength (force per unit area at failure) divided by its density. It is also known as the strength-to-weight ratio or strength/weight ratio.

Strength = Newton per meter squared

Wood has less density than steel, so the volume is occupies is less than steel. Since strength is the same, the Weight of wood is more

i.e. Assume volume of steel is 40 m squared, and volume of wood is 20 m squared. Assume strength is 2 Newton each, so:

Force of wood is 2/20 squared
Force of steel is 2/40 squared

Hence wood weighs more.

Since pound for
pound steel is so
much stronger than
wood, the ship made
of wood would require
a great deal more material
for it to be of equal strength.

HaHaHa ... I did wonder why I too have a 9-min snooze cycle on my alarm. Never bothered to think about it. Now that you asked, I am curious to know.

Has it got anything to do with repeating the alarm over 1 hour? I did notice that the snooze function stops after 1 hour.

Perhaps the answer is that the alarm will ring for a minute if it was not interrupted. Hence the uninterrupted ring and snooze will actually take a full 10-minute cycle. In 1 hour, the snooze alarm will operate 6 times. Then it gives up and stops.

Maybe it's the way the alarm clock was made.

In a simple circuit, the clock has only to watch out for the last digit.

For example if you go to sleep at 2.30pm, it will ring at 2.39pm, ie only 9 changes or only 1 digit changes or the last number.

By setting the snooze time to 9 minutes, the alarm clock only needs to watch the last digit of the time. So, if you hit snooze at 6.45, the alarm goes off again when the last digit equals 4. They couldn't make it 10 minutes, otherwise the alarm would go off right away, or it would take more circuitry.

It depends on the distance coverage. If you run twice faster than walking, it would deem that you have travelled double the distance, hence double the energy.

In the first
situation, the
measurement was
distance so the runner
would finish much earlier
than the person walking and
therefore, the amount of energy
spent would be approximately the same.
In the second situation, the measurement
is time, and the person who runs for ten
minutes will cover a much greater
distance and therefore burn more
energy than a person walking
for ten minutes.

I don't know. Didn't read the autopsy. :D ~~~ If I am asked to guess, cause of death will be any of the following:-

injuries from the crash
heart attack due to anxiety caused by impending crash
asphyxiation
suffocation
stroke followed by heart attack due to blood pressure shooting to the roof when airplane went crashing into the wilderness

Currymee just returned from a six-month vacation in the Middle East. He met up with Naka, Coleslaw and Quietstorm for coffee at Starbucks, Pyramid. When asked about his trip, Currymee said the highlight of the trip was seeing many of the ancient artifacts first hand. He saw several mummies and tapestries dating as far back as 200 BC. He also saw coins dated 46 BC and weapons made of metal from approximately 500 BC. What is wrong with Currymee's claims?
