500,000 food outlet operators agree to absorb costs

Sometimes, I get the feeling, the BN Govt really thinks the rakyat is STUPID - jokers !!!! Just wait, I can already see my bowl of currymee shrinking (and if it does, the auntie at Choy Kee will get a little lecture from me - good one lah, I am always nice to her :D I will tell her to go and charge me extra BUT don't shrink my portion !!)

BTW, is it me and my old man eyesight, coz I cannot help but get the feeling recently that the KFC chicken pieces are getting SMALLER ..... 2 pcs used to fill me up good and proper, now, almost 3 pcs .... baru puas !!!

cannot trust this paper one, they are bn propaganda. if u noticed their news is total difference from malaysiakini. sometimes i read with a reverse mindset, means they say no is actually yes.

of course is a total lie. somehow someone is gonna pay for the hijacked price. and do u think the business man so stupid to absorb the cost? of course is the end user.

i agree that the gov should cut subsidy, but i would suggest them to cut their own allowances first. surely they are many loophole. eg new york trip, disney land trip, meeting with this and that travelling expenditure, oh ya and those submarines...lol

oh yes...my favourite read was Koh Tsu Koon's rationalisation: the effect translate to a 2 cent increase to roti canai....dunno whether to get really angry or laugh really hard at this kind of stupidity!!!!

There is no law against restaurants increasing prices as long as they put the price tag. Everybody knows that yet every stupid minister says, "action will be taken against traders who increase prices indiscriminately". Coffee costs RM 1.20 at a coffee shop, RM 2.50 at a kopitiam and RM 8 and above at Starbucks. You don't see the boss of Starbucks being arrested do you?

hello, I own a coffeeshop lah. U think I love you meh? LIke I owe u a living? Like u my son/daughter? My ingredients cost just went up, my petrol cost also. Then gas also went up

BUT then, in actual fact, I am HAPPY at the same time grinning all the way to the bank:D

I only up ALL drinks by 10sen per cup. :D Plus i am going to up my daily rentals to the stalls by RM5.00 only (they need to sell additional 1bowl only lah) :p

I am also grateful to the gomen for getting rid of the 1sen and 5sen. Imagine my nightmare if I have to increase a cup of teh-si by a mere 0.02sen. Where got time to give change lah!:o

BTW, I don't do this for love. I do this as I am a businessman. I do business to make money to enjoy life...not to win hearts.

Ever notice that after the sugar industry was sold off by the sugar King Robert Kuok to Felda, the price of sugar suddenly went up by 20 sen / kilo in January and again went up last week at 25 sen / kilo more? How come the price control was so tight when it was under the Sugar King but now sugar suddenly becomes a unhealthy product and price must be jacked up?

You joker.... :D You kidding, right...? :p

The moment you mentioned potong - they'd think you are recommending P1WiMaX to them... and IF (I said "if") they do get your message - they'd say "CANNOT" because they would immediately compare with Singapore lawmakers... and claim they should get more... baru ada kelas as MP or ADUN..

On a serious note: ONE CANNOT COMMENT ON MPs AND ADUNs... Why... because they WERE elected... so shuddup!!

We have a caring 1Malaysian PM mah. He is worried that you are getting obese with heavy sugar consumption like the teh tarik. More, he wants you to tighten your belt too as there would be more potong here and there. :D

Then one must question who is the beneficiary from sugar king's exit....

They only said they'll not increase if their suppliers also don't...so how can the suppliers not increase when there is an increase in cost?

Actually I do not understand about Malaysian food business. Here in Taipei, the price of noodles is from RM6 - RM9 per bowl (non-aircon shops) but their portion is quite large, almost double what we get for RM4.00 in KL. Considering their higher income, I will say that we are paying more in KL.

MALAYSIA ISN'T A PLACE WHERE VALUE IS FOR EVERYONE ANYMORE!.. thats a FACT! (but gomen will ALWAYS TELL YOU ITS CHEAPER THAN ........) They don't tell you that at the rate you're going your life savings get thinner too! (unless you're really a big earner - a minority)
Eat out LESS AND DON'T BUY NEW CARS for few years at least can or not?
NO YOU CAN'T!.. That I'm very sure!
