Anyone drives the 1st generation Harrier 2.2 cc? It is from 1998 - 2002. If so, any comments to its FC, reliability and whether it is value for money? In the States, it is sold as a Lexus model. I checked and noted that the 2002 registered models are sold for around RM60K. As an imported SUV, it seems better than the Perdanas, Sentras, and Altises. Right?

I do not own the car but had rode in one as a company car and can safely say that the comfort level, suspension and the soundproofing is vastly superior to Perdanas, sentra or any mid-level sedans. Infact it is also superior to many entry level SUVs such as the CRV, RAV4 & Nissan's SUV.
But then you are buying a > 10 yo car, you can expect major repair bills & the engine might have outlived its life. Overhaul = $$$$
Heard that the absorbers are RM1+++ each

I drove a 2nd generation 2.4 Harrier, FC is about 9km/liter (mixtures of town n highway). Although RON95 can be used, but better go for RON97 for cleaner engine parts (less carbon deposits) and saves repair costs later.
