hehe... you wished - but I was referring to Kevin Rudd. :p

Maybe the ministers and the darn politicians here can learn a lesson (or two!) from the former Australian Prime Minister... Kevin Rudd.

... that when the welcome has fizzled out or when he is 'deemed' unfit for the job at hand, he'd resigned from the job and post....

Here? these fellas would blame everyone, everything and even God... but himself/herself... best part - we keep re-electing these bums to high office, macam TAK ADA other choices...   Sheeeeesh!!!

Kevin Rudd made a few mistakes and he is dumped by his own party.

Yes, Boleh can learn a lesson or two from the Aussies

Rudderless is the correct word, me think...

You think a woman cannot run a country, Tong? Well, Golda Meir ruled Israel through some of her toughest period in history... I am sure you have heard of Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher or Cory Aquino... of course there are also those on the opposite extreme like Evita Peron of Argentina (of whom the song "Don't Cry for me Argentina" is based on...)

And it was widely mentioned in BN circles that one of the best potential PM for Malaysia was RAFIDAH AZIZ (after Mahathir) ... bad luck for her that this is Malaysia .... but then again, I will say Thank God, she did not get it or else she would have AP-ED the whole country ....

Australia's new PM was Welsh, an immigrant 4 yr old little girl when she landed on Australian soil with her family. And today she could be accepted to run the country.
Even US Presidency candidate must be US-born.

We, 3rd, 4th generations of Chinese / Indian immigrants, born in Malaysia - will probably never get to see such level of democracy in this country.

THIS WILL FOREVER BE ETCHED IN MY MIND AND UNFORGIVABLE!..2nd only to the other big shot who will bathe the keris in other Malaysian blood!.

I really don't mind if its alls worth and we all benefit or enjoy the returns, but its not to be. You get submarine, MIG's, tolled roads, half past six public service, etc, etc, etc.. no prizes for guessing easily. So much for 21st century.. AND they've asked you to tighten your belts more times than I can remember, in other words you lower your quality of life...not theirs.

If anyone one of you have never lived in Australia and do not comprehand the country's policies please don't critised any of our PM and leaders.

Rudd was not well liked within the many Labour ministers because a lot of the policies he tried to implement were not consulted within the Labour ministers.
He had tried to undermind Julian Gillard eventhough she had worked her butts off always supporting him and some of this policies.

Asian males are still so males chauvinists. I would love to see a female/male Indian or Chinese PM in Malaysian. Unfortunately this will never come to past unless there is an uprising. Majority of the males in Malaysia cares nothing about politics or giving a helping hand to the less fortunate except feeding their own bank accounts. Take a look at yourselves, the entire country is so divided and in a bloody mess. Every time I visit Malaysia, all I felt from the relatives are their constant racist comments about the malays or indians at school or work places.

My kids here have absolutely no problem integrating with the indians or caucasians here. They go to school camps, eat, socialize and sleep in the same dormitry. Often my girls are invited to their caucasian friends for sleep over and eat at the same table. As best friends they offen hug each others like sisters regardless of skin colour with good intentions. I often wonder if this can ever exist with my nieces in malaysia, hugging their malay or indian peers without classifying them dirty.

Is a good thing my kids had never experienced racial remarks by their peers or teachers. As a result they always consider themselves Australians and never chinese first when asked.

I lived and paid taxes in Queensland for 20 years so I am qualified .. but reading the posts I don't see any overt criticism ..

I am happy that your kids have never experienced racial disharmony in Australia .. I hope they never do.. thats not to say it does not exist as I know differently. Kevin Rud is a fine advocate for racial tolerance and has done more than many politicians in OZ to right past wrongs in this regard. All politicians are alike and I'll bet that in 12 months or 2 years you will all be cursing Julia Gillard too. :D :D :D

cool bro....

dunno if anyone said anything 'BAD' about Aussie politicians here but I started this thread, just wishing that OUR politicians (and so called leaders!) wud learn a thing (or two) from the examples from abroad....

Kevin Rudd basically got massively whacked by the Mining Industry's PR million dollar campaign against him when he wanted to impose up to 40% tax on them.

Heck - imagine what kinda (amount) of money that would have brought into the Govt coffers... especially with the mining industry in full boom over there... so basically he meant well.... but the big businesses did not fare well with him.... so they basically got rid of him, with the help of Kevin's own political party and not by the voters!!! How ironic....

Is a good thing my kids had never experienced racial remarks by their peers or teachers....
.... considering there are still the likes of Pauline Hanson and her supporters running around in Australia...

Although I know a lot of Aussies are bigoted and not only toward asians or coloureds but europeans too, generally normal people are OK and in 20 yrs I personally never experienced any violence ... though I once witnessed a scene on a north queensland beach where some white kids were playing with a little aboriginal boy .. the aboriginal boy had a rope tied around his middle and was jumping off the end of the pier .. and the other kids were pulling him out again with the rope .. I walked to the end of the pier and asked them what they were doing .. "we just fishing for sharks mister" :D :D :D (just a joke don't get excited!!!) ;)

It took me almost 2 weeks but everytime I think about your post it makes my skin crawl. The way you wrote with the word dirty really raise my blood pressure. My son, 7, plays with both Malay and Indian friends at the park every weekend and has never looked at them any differently.

You have offended me and I hope all Malaysians like you will migrate far far away and dont come back. I have travelled a lot and met many your type that always feels ashame of your roots for whatever reason. Maybe I can't blame you since it might be your parents teaching! I pity your kids that will eventually follow your thinking.

I hope by replying your post I will be able to forget what you said this coming weekend when I take my kid to the park again.
