Hi All, have anyone of you heard or participate in this mindful meditation called Clove n Clive centre . It is run by a chinese couple in Giant KelanaJaya and my wife is the latest enrolment.

It seems that they practise 'yoga' like meditation to soothe the mind and claimed that no religion involved. Is this a mind dynamic thing ?. Your advice will be appreciated

Mindfulness meditation in general is a very good mental exercise
and state of living.

Many Buddhist organization are giving free lessons
in mindfulness meditations and one can donate whatever during retreats.

As for the above, one need to be aware not to be caught in the
the money game.
The courses were advertized at $370 per course, but had
been cancelled out and offered for free at the moment.
When they have more members and this members developed some kind
of affiliation they may start charging.

The caution is many of these repackaged mental exercise courses and teaching can be abused by the leaders.
There is nothing to control them if things go wayward.

Mindfulness meditation tied to recognized Buddhist organizations at least have some checks and balances but not 100%.

As for http://www.clovenclive.com/ i don't sense anything suspicious, but
one need to be cautious.
The problem is when one is cautious, it may loose effective,
but if one were just to put 100% faith into it, there is a danger if there is brainwashing.

To each its own, as long as it is not a threat to humanity.

Thanks Justme123, this is what I am afraid of. If your mind gets carried away, just like PDL ,you can turn cukoo. Just like a relative of mine , she was so influenced that she parted jewelleries and savings to the Nepalise Lamas.

Anyway currently it is free and I will have to tellmy wife to be cautious.
