UNF bolts or screws

Anyone know where i can get No. 8 unf bolts or screws?
As used to hold Rover Mini and Lotus Elise door mirrors?
I called Proton Lotus spares in glenmarie and they asked for a photograph??

Dear Hiliary,

No.8 UNF-40 Screw is not very common type of screw for today auto industry. For this small size screw, usually it is easier to find No.8-32 UNC. If you are lucky you may be able to buy some at the Sunway SMI shops near the Sunway Pyramid. If I am not mistaken the shop (facing the food court direction) but is at the road behind the row facing the food court near the old Sunway college campus.

Yew Siong Industrial Supplies Sdn Bhd

Contact them, see got or not.

Worse scenario is to get someone to re-tap the bolt hole to metric thread and use metric fastener instead. Metric fasteners can be gotten in most common material, size and type there at that shop. They also sell the exact drill bits and bolt taps for the job.

In the end i tapped out to metric. Makes sense for the future :D
