First we heard of BPA in milk bottles. Now it's BPA in canned foods.

Quote from here (http://www.babycenter.com/204_bpa-in-cans-poses-health-threat-report-says_10331887.bc?scid=preschooler_20100525:2&pe=eLSmYu):
"Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical used in the metal linings of some canned foods, poses a serious health threat to consumers and should be banned, a new report claims."

"We found BPA in 92 percent of the canned food that we tested"

There goes my baked beans, sardines, corn beef, etc :(

BPA can also be found on receipts from thermal printers (i.e. at most shops) - it helps the ink stick to the paper (or something like that).

A good reason to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer handy...or avoid handling receipts as much as possible.

Cheers, m

ps. now Im wondering if there is BPA in the plastic bottle of hand sanitizer????

BPA from plastic normally leech when around 100deg C - i.e. hot water - so avoid keep hot liquids in all plastic containers is one of the best solution - go invest in thermo flasks or kettles.
