I support Msia, but I think the chances are very very slim!

I'm more worried of the 3rd game onwards, we are extremely weak compared to Indon and China, except for the first 2 games.

Keeping my fingers crossed. The semi looks like final loh.

If nothing drastic is done to the sports its gonna follow our hockey/football trend
 :(

If only our officiating Body could live up to the so called One Malaysia concept. I'm still dreaming....

i hate to say this....i do not see bolehland can be a serious contender for thomas or uber in the next 10 yrs. we do not have good talents in the pipeline to takeover the current aging players. look at china, indonesia and even japan. the renewal of talent is better planned.

There are more variety of techniques and placement shown by the Chinese players especially Lin Dan.. LCW was just simply outclassed... Lin Dan shown supremacy is his smashers... LD had no problem taking LCW attacks but when LD attacked, LCW had problems defending.
And after the win, LD removed his shirt and u can see how well built his physique is.. Another reason why his smashes are so powerful.

Tan-Koo had very few killer shots, they managed to make the opponents move around but just can't nail it and ended up with unforced errors... The Chinese duo are simply a notch above...

WCH had not won against Japan and Denmark, and he showed lack of stamina after his rubber game against Denmark. He did try his best to fight but still can't extract any magic..

The Chinese girls just lost to the Koreans .... hope the Indonesians do that too!~
We do not have a large pool for players to pick from .... Indonesia has >200Mio and China ... you know la!~
You may dispute this but at one time a Sarawakian was the fastest 100m runner in Asia!~

the malaysian chinese talents are either too busy working, putting food on the table - or MIGRATED... :p

go to the local badminton halls here in USJ1... I've seen some killer racquet players there... but heck, who notices... anyway, they probably just venting steam after a hard day at work...

Seriously, I prefer watching the ladies badminton - much much better rallies and stroke plays - not so much brute strength ..... :D - and they look cuter also !! (that's a bonus!!)

I was told a certain player was excluded from the team after he showed the middle finger to the audience during a match.

True kah? :D

VeeJay
16-05-2010, 01:11 PM
True, that was a malaysian from second double team, even the fans were not friendly visiting teams it seems, constantly throwing tantrum and vulgar name callings. This reported on all major news papers.

Sad, behavior

Hahaha...probably a million foreign workers from you know where may be all there... and good opportunity for PDRM to weed out illegals?... I only wonder.. :D :D, Sport no sport..illegal is still illegal... less of them the better.

Indonesian team gave a good fight compared to the Malaysian team which lost easily to China. Our team might not win they were to face Indonesian team too.

In sports, nothing is for certain, it all boils down to what mental strength u can summon from within... And how long u can maintain both physical and mental strength during the match... That's why there are always upset matches.. Cannot win all the time mah.. Even there are matches which Lin Dan has lost.

But one thing for sure, there sure were A LOT of indonesian supporters in the upper tier of Stadium Putra... ;)

As for Lin Dan, he is indeed peerless among the current crop of top players... He's very, very good in all aspects of play...

Did anyone notice how different the muscles of the china team and indo team was? China's was like rock hard whereas indo's was relaxed. I suspect they had a lot of cardio trainning.
